“Guh-huh! Hey now, no need ta’ go so fast!”
Watching the shih tzu’s excitable friendliness, Banjo couldn’t stop himself from a bit of a laugh before offering the same in kind.
“I’m Banjo, and yep, this here’s my first time onboard! –Though, I was around when the first two happened, so I’m acquainted!” He extends his hand for a shake. “Nice to meetcha, Miss Isabelle!”
The sudden third voice made itself apparent as Kazooie peeked out from Banjo’s backpack over his shoulder.
“Y’know, ah,” A click of the tongue, “not to brag or anything, but Banjo here’s something of a mayor, himself.”
“Wh–? Kazooie, I ain’t got a town.”
“You own a mountain valley, man, c’mon.”
Perhaps Isabelle was going a bit fast, but she couldn’t help it. When she got in those moods where she had excitement, she just wanted to get everything out all at once. “Sorry! Sometimes it just happens, and I can’t stop myself,” she replied, smiles and all. As the tiny dog listened to Banjo, she gave small nods here and there. “Oh, that’s great! It must be fun being back, then!” Isabelle beamed as she put her paw in Banjo’s hand to shake it.
Another nod was made as she heard the question being said, but a small look of confusion appeared across the shih tzu’s face. Who said that? She wondered. Though that question would soon be answered as she saw Kazooie stick her head out over Banjo’s shoulder.
“Wait...you own a mountain valley?!” Isabelle’s eyes practically sparkled while looking at him. “Oh my! That’s so cool! I would love to see it, one day!” She stopped herself for a moment to take a breather. “Hey, maybe you could even visit my town! Well, it’s not really my town--it’s the Mayor’s, but I’m sure they wouldn’t mind! And I know everyone in town would love meeting new friends!”
