It’s quiet, tonight, darkness settling in muted silhouettes around the desks littered about the tallest bullpen in National City.
It’s not altogether unusual. National City is mostly peaceful at night compared to its northern Metropolitan counterparts, the sea breeze carrying a hint of calm through an open balcony window, even now. It’s also not altogether unusual that the only place darkness has yet to touch on the highest floor of the CatCo building is the person who built it, Cat Grant’s pen not-so-idly swooshing along a page, elegant scratches filling the silence with the occasional hum.
Brows knit half-way down her latest contract’s page, chin slowly dipping upwards as a noise meets ears—trained by the dalai lama she might claim, to pick up on the most unusual disturbances in the air and the shifting energy of the world around her—but when a chin tips to the side, a sigh rumbles up and out of her chest the moment a blur of likely blonde and bone crumples onto her balcony in a startling crash, skidding along floor with—
Brows raise instead of knit. This isn’t the usual mess of bones and blonde, instead much…smaller, and her chair is skidding backwards in as elegant of a swoosh as her pen had, bare feet rushing out to the open door and…small girl.
“Well…you know how to make an entrance, don’t you?” Her voice is calm, sliding the jacket she’d grabbed off from the back of her chair en route around small shoulders, looking around for scrapes and bruises out of habit. First thing’s first—and she would claim, if ever asked about the concern in her voice, that she simply wouldn’t want a lawsuit despite the lingering look in eyes: “Are you alright?”
The young blonde was shaking slightly as her hands clutched against the sides of her head, covering her ears as she lay on the floor for a moment, trying to steady herself. To focus on anything but the torrent of voices and noises that were reaching her - the sound of people talking, crying, yelling - the sounds of the mechanical machines travelling, animals making their noises as well - it was too much for her as her face scrunched up trying to block them out.
Her breathing was irregular until she heard sounds far closer, foot steps - not the heavy sounds, not the click of heels - but light - she sat up quickly. Brown eyes wide, fear flashing across her face as her senses are now focused on the blonde woman talking to her. The feeling of fabric suddenly over her shoulders makes her stumble to her feet, bruised arms reaching to pull it closer around her as she takes a shaky step backwards, almost bumping into the balcony again.
She did speak though, although her first words are rushed and spoken in another language - the language she had grown up with. A tumbled explanation that she hurts and has to hide before just as quickly she goes completely quiet. Her eyes darting around, back over the balcony in the direction she had come from, her blonde curls quickly hidden under the jacket as she covers her face - whispering to herself in the same language, counting to ten.
And then she was looking back at the small blonde woman, her mouth moving silently for a moment before speaking again - this time in the same language she spoke, “W-Where is.. S-Supergirl?”
@pulitzerpanther a plotted thing from a small Kryptonian!
She had no idea where she was, just that she had to leave - and leave fast. So she did - fighting her way out, ignoring the yells and people trying to stop her. The white coats... they were not kind people. She wanted to get away, to get far-far away. She didn’t even know she COULD fly until she was already up in the air and moving so very fast - she just kept going as the sun began to go down, the light around her changing.
It wasn’t until she was flying past some buildings that she took a moment to pause - floating in the air as she looked around, hands covering her ears. There were so many people in this place, National City... home of Supergirl - but the people here were so loud, her chest hurting and her body shaking - why were things so loud here?! They hadn’t been loud back in the place with the white-coats. But she also hadn’t been able to fly there either.
She was afraid.
Earth was so different and this was the first time she was out in the world since her pod had crashed. All she had on her were the clothing she landed in - her white outfit was torn and slightly dirty by now, the sleeves completely torn off - small marks on her arms from the ‘white coats’ still marking her skin.
But she had to get away from the sounds - looking around she went towards the tallest building but misjudged her newly realised abilities when she tried to stop - instead of landing she crashed... hard. Falling into the balcony with a loud noise.
THUMP.
ofherosblood:
Logan glanced at her jacket, the house of El symbol that has been so beautifully stitched onto her jacket. Uncle Winn’s doing for sure. ‘El Mayarah’ she repeated in her head, Stronger together, Kara would tell her that every time she got sad because mommy had to go to work, or mama had to do some hero work. When ever she felt so far away from her parents even though they wouldn’t be gone long. It made her feel better, feel so safe and no she got to wear the symbol on her chest and help others feel safe even if she was still in training.
Allowing her hand to slid off the other’s shoulder she gave a slow nod at the girl acknowledging her house symbol. With years of Superman and Supergirl being heroes of earth many people recognized it, but knowing of it. When She said her home was Krypton. Logan could believe it. She just didn’t understand it, not at all. Holding her breath she tried to find the right words for this. She never thought she would do this.
❝ Yes, Krypton is gone. Earth has been a home to Kryptonians like my mother, who you’ve met, and my cousin for years now. My mother said it hurt, knowing the planet was gone, but she found a family, she found love. Moved on. Had me and my siblings, things will get better Seren. ❞ She tried her hardest to ease her into this but nothing would be easy.
As confusing as everything was that was happening, Seren couldn’t help but be relieved at even the small things that were familiar. They were comforting, things she knew - that she understood. El Mayarah was not what her own name stood for, but it was something she knew and that she couldn’t help but have some belief in. The words were comforting in themselves, that she wasn’t alone - even if it felt like it.
Her gaze dropped after continuing to stare at the crest for awhile, her eyes focusing on the ground of the room she stood in, she knew she hadn’t been lied to. She had been lied to enough to know when someone was lying to her - and Supergirl hadn’t been lying - even if she hadn’t explained everything. It had been enough to know it was true. But hearing it again - it.. it still hurt her to hear.
Seren’s hands clench at her sides, taking a few deep breaths as she listens to the girl talk. “M-My home is gone.. my.. my parents...” Her voice shook slightly, several silent tears falling down her cheeks. How could things get better? “H-How did she ‘move on’? It hurts.. why.. why am I here and they aren’t?”
aluraze:
Alura isn’t sure exactly what she was expecting to find when she followed heard the frantic heartbeat, the sure sound that someone was frightened that Kara had taught her to look out for. But she wasn’t expecting this, a child cowering against a stone wall, dirty knees to match dirty clothes, wide eyed and scared.
She touches down on the ground carefully, and extends her hands in front of her, palm out. ‘Easy, child, I’m not going to hurt you’.
She takes another step closer, and freezes. Beneath the dirt, there’s a set of familiar features, and her voice hitches in surprise. ‘Seren?’
@sheistronger
Escaping those.... those people. Had been a good thing, of course it had been. They had hurt her, had kept her trapped. So escaping was a good thing. But as soon as she had calmed a little, felt she was far enough away. Things started happening. She knew she could fly - but now everything around her was so.. so very loud. It was overwhelming and it was terrifying, so she stopped and tried to hide, her hands clutching her ears, trying to make things quieter.
She didn’t understand this, didn’t understand how different she was here. She knew something made her ‘special’ the white coat people had whispered things like that - they knew she could fly and she was different. But Seren didn’t understand it. She just wanted to go home.
Her hands clench again, her body jolting as she heard someone near her - it was hard not to when things were so very loud right now. Her head jolts back - hitting the wall behind her - leaving a noticeable crack in the wall, but then she hears her own name and relief and confusion mix on her face. ‘I wanna go home..’ the words escape in Kryptonese, followed by a small sob.

Lillian knows she doesn’t have a lot of time. The alien she let run rampage in the lower levels will only distract everyone for so long. She hurries down the corridor, the pass key clutched tightly in her hand, and lets herself into the small room. The eery green glow makes her feel momentarily sick, a feeling that is not lessened when she sees the young girl crouched in a corner.
She lets herself into the cell, and hesitates, crouching down so that she doesn’t loom above the girl. She swallows, aware that she doesn’t have much time but unable to keep the sick feeling from crawling up into her throat at how small the girl looks. ‘Seren’, she says quietly, as gently as she can, ‘my name is Lillian. I know you don’t have any reason to trust me, but I want to get you out of here’.
@sheistronger
Seren had no idea how long she had been here, she tried to keep track - at least at first. But through the ‘tests’ and the addition of the green rocks that made her feel so sick - she often ended up unconscious and had no idea how long it had been since each time that happened. It could have been months - even a year or so. All that really mattered was she knew it was awhile, and she knew she hated it here. She stuck to the corner of the room - as far away from the green glow as she could possibly get, she didn’t know what it was - but she knew it made her feel sick and it hurt her if she was touched by the rock.
Her body was tucked away in the corner, her whole body tensing when she heard the familiar sound of the cell opening. Her eyes clenched shut, ready for someone to grab her or start trying to talk to her again - usually involving a lot of questions and pretending she didn’t understand what they said. But the voice that spoke was different, gentle as her name was spoken - warily she glanced up, still not budging yet from where she was as safe as she could be in this room. Brown eyes wide as she glances towards the door, trying to move further from the green glow.

Lena accelerated carefully, both for the girl’s benefit and for the attempt at stealth, her headlights off, driving through the semi-darkness with as much confidence as she could muster. Soon, they were into the more populated warehouse area that was home to several industrial factories that were being run on a nighttime skeleton crew. They were people at least, and Lena hoped that that would be enough to help them get away.
She didn’t turn her lights on until they got to the side road that would eventually lead them back to the highway. She was totally focused on driving, sparing the girl a glance or two as she drove, but she had to do this carefully or it would all be for naught.
By the time she had them on the highway, she was reasonably confident that no one had seen them leave. Or, at the very least, no one was immediately after them. She drove into traffic, purposefully bypassing her exit in favor of circling around just in case. Besides, it would give her the time to actually think about what she was going to do now.
She wasn’t going to let the girl out of her sights, she knew that much. Lena would not hand her over to the government. She didn’t trust them at all. But… if the girl was Kryptonian… would Supergirl take her in? Superman? What if the girl wasn’t really Kryptonian and just some sort of… hybrid? Would they care? Would they reject her? Would she even be safe with either of them?
The girl looked old enough to decide what she wanted to do, right? She might be a teenager. If Lena had to guess, anyways, but she honestly had no idea. But Lena had to start somewhere so she decided to start at the most basic thing she could think of.
“Lena,” she said tapping her chest and glancing over at the girl before focusing on the road again. “I’m Lena. What’s your name?” she asked, hoping that she would understand her.
Seren clenched her eyes shut, her hands reaching to cover her ears as the machine moved fast. She didn’t pay attention to where they were going or well anything else that was going on, simply thinking about how she was out now. She wasn’t trapped - and yes the machine was scary. It was kind of like a pod but different as well. It was a little overwhelming and it made her think of being stuck in her pod before she was found - but she wasn’t being hurt.
She was going to be okay, she could always run when the machine stopped if she had to. She didn’t want to run though. Her breathing was a little shaky, but she heard the words and slowly opened her eyes again, blinking slowly. Her eyes a little teary, still filled with fear.
“Seren.” She pointed to herself. Going quiet again before speaking up again, her words barely above the sound of the machine, “Of the house of Am.” Then she was quiet again, her legs tucked up on the seat with her, arms clutched around her knees, she was practically in a ball on the seat.
ofherosblood:
‘of the house of Am’
She repeated mostly in her head. She only heard people speak like that during two types of situations. One in Game of Thrones. Another time when Kara was teaching her and her siblings about Krypton. They started learning about the planet the moment they could start forming memories. Learning about who they where and where they came from. Certainly she wasn’t from the era of kings and queens like the characters of the show so that only meant one other thing but that was years ago. Perhaps she was only half like herself and the twins.
❝ Well, I guess if we are introducing ourselves like that than I’m Logan Astra Luthor-Danvers of the house of El, or Luthor. You know I’ve been in this family since birth and I’m still not sure how this works. ❞ Logan said with a soft chuckle leaving her lips, she mostly said it to try and get the younger to laugh as she could tell something was bothering her. Perks of being the elder Super Luthor.
She could only wave the other towards her, but she knew with how upset she seemed she knew she wouldn’t budge so Logan stood up and walked towards the other. Slowly and carefully placing a hand on her shoulder. Her green eyes looking straight towards her.
❝ Seren, is everything okay? ❞ Logan finally asked, her free hand brushed back her own black loose strands out of her colored eyes. This was probably really frightening to her, yet she couldn’t understand why. A kid loved the DEO especially half alien kids. Got to see where the girl of steel worked and all.
Seren was still wary of the room, she knew she was told that she was safe here. She felt safer - but still not completely safe. She didn’t know this place or the people here. She had seen so many people watching her when she had been brought in, but Supergirl hadn’t left her side. Not until right now at least.
Her hands were trembling slightly, quickly wrapping her arms around herself, rubbing at her arms as she looks back at the girl. Logan. her name was Logan. She didn’t know the other names that were mentioned but, she recognized the mention of the House of El and a tiny smile formed on her face. She was right, “El Mayarah.” she spoke softly, one hand gesturing towards her shirt. “House of El.” She knew that from home... from Krypton.
She hadn’t moved from where Supergirl had left her, almost like she didn’t know if she was allowed to move. But as soon as a hand touched her shoulder, her whole body tensed - but she didn’t lash out or make a single sound. Brown eyes darted to look at the other girl. Shaking her head slowly.
“My home is gone.” Her words were soft still, barely speaking any louder than she had to, “Supergirl said Krypton is gone.”

@sheistronger liked THIS POST for a starter ;;
❝ so… i’m looking for someone super talented to help me finish a task, and i hear you’re just the little rockstar to help me achieve it, so, ❞ she smiles at the child, her hands filled with various items she needs to return to specific areas so that the place can go back to it’s once forgotten state of cleanliness, ❝ think you’re up for the challenge? ❞
Seren’s head tilts slightly, listening before quickly moving to her feet - eager to help however she can. A small smile forming on her face as she gently reaches to take a few of the items, “I can help.” she speaks softly, her back straightening as if this is in fact a grand challenge and not just a form of cleaning. Honestly - she just wanted to help - to be useful and productive. Even if just in a small way.

‘Little boxes remember that’
Those where the words Brainy had told her as she was brought to the training room by him while Supergirl went off. He said something about how it had been advice her mother long ago, and while he didn’t mean to NEVER show emotions, he really meant what Kara had tried to explain not to let her emotions control her powers. That was a hard part. She had JUST been getting the hang of these things. Logan tugged on the red jacket with the house of El symbol stitched in it. Her glasses lined in lead had been stored away in the inner pocket of the jacket and she slumped to one of the benches, pulled out her phone and began reading over the text. It was only for a moment she had been distracted before Supergirl returned with another girl. Her blue eyes shifted, digits brushing back the black loose strands out of her hair. ‘Wait here, Logan will keep you company’ she heard her say despite the distance.
Rolling her eyes a soft huff left her lips before she mumbled ❝ I guess we’ve established that Logan will keep you company. ❞ she said her own name purposely before sliding her phone back into her pocket. She really thought they discussed using her hero name or simple calling her supergirl in training if they didn’t want to use it but saying her name was basically giving her identity away. Everyone knew Logan Astra Luthor-Danvers, first child of Lena Luthor who had been made in a lab. It wasn’t a secret. The secret was that she was half alien.
Waving just a second almost sarcastically towards the girl she gave a slight smile. ❝ I’m Logan. ❞
Seren had been through a lot. Only hours ago she had been in that tiny room, barely more than a cell. She could still feel the slight pain and the nausea still was making her stomach clench, all from those green rocks. ‘Kryptonite’ it had been called when she asked Supergirl what it had been. The name made her a little angry. Why would something so pain filled and horrible share even part of a name of their home planet? It.. It was horrible and she hated that it was called that at all.
She trusted Supergirl though. She knew the House of El from back on Krypton. Seeing the Symbol had been a relief, something familiar in this scary world filled with people who seemed to want to hurt her. She had been found by those people, and kept as their prisoner. Had been tested on - had been hurt. It had not been a good experience at all and it had left Seren with some issues trusting people, not to mention she was feeling very weak and still scared.
She hadn’t even wanted to come to this.. place. Fear of being held and trapped again, but Supergirl had promised she would be safe - that she wouldn’t leave her with someone she didn’t trust. That meant this girl, she could be trusted.
Brown eyes watch as Supergirl leaves the room before slowly looking at the other girl, she had no idea who she was - but her eyes dropped to glance at the shirt, a small smile tugging onto her face. The house of El. That meant she must be family to Supergirl. It was normal for families to wear the same crest after all.
Her shoulders straighten as she slowly speaks, her voice still a little strained but she shows a little pride when she introduces herself. “Seren Van-Am of the house of Am.” A look of sadness reaches her eyes before she bows her head slightly.

@sheistronger ; SORTA KINDA PLOTTED THING !!!
with her new job at CatCo Kara no longer hung out at the DEO half as much as she used to but becoming Editor and also being Supergirl hadn’t been easy to juggle with numerous deadlines and a city to save. the call had come just after the mid morning meeting her sister telling her of the child.. 𝐀 𝐊𝐑𝐘𝐏𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐀𝐍 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃 ———— ! ? ! ? ! it had to have been a mistake , no one on 𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐎 would sent a child light years away especially with what remained of her dead planet sufficiently safe with enough harun-el along with the recipe on how the rock can be replicated it Kara couldn’t add up why other than her own and cousins children there would be a young kryptonian on earth.
red boots touch down on the DEO marble floor , it had only been a few minutes since the call had ended, she had managed to convince Nia to take charge of things at CatCo while she was gone. she had made her way to the med-bays in the clinic Alex having already told Kara that would be where she could find them when she arrived. She didn’t enter the room where the child had been, instead gaining the attention of her sister and having her step out from where the child had been sat. few words were passed and Kara’s attention every few minutes drifted from that of her sister towards the youngster but as the conversation soon drifted off Kara stepped around her sister, making her way towards the room and stepping inside Alex remaining to stay out of the room but watching in from the corridor. ❝ So they tell you’re from Krypton ??? ❞ she stopped a few feet away from the child not wanting to scare or intimidate her, her voice was soft her arms remaining by her sides rather than folded across her chest or placed on her hips.
Seren was scared. It was a feeling she had grown to know quite well since leaving Krypton. The mere thought of her home brought tears to her eyes. She hated being afraid, of not knowing what was going on - or where she was. She had just escaped one bad place only to end up trapped again in a whole other place. She didn’t like it at all - but at least here it wasn’t as bad - not yet at least.
The room was bigger than the last one she had been in at the other place, the place where the white-coats kept her for... she didn’t know how long it had been. But she didn’t like any of her time there. Her body had several scars still, something that one of the people here had commented on. Seeming almost surprised she had them. But for now Seren was curled up on a bed, her legs tucked right up against her chest - her head resting on her knees, as she tried to keep watch of all the people who she could see. Things were still quite loud and confusing - she could hear voices but not fully make out the words.
She was told that someone was coming to talk to her, again - but this person the woman named Alex told her that she wouldn’t yell at her. Not like some of the other people had. She kind of liked the Alex lady, she didn’t yell either - although she did seem a little suspicious - she at least was kinder than some of the other people. Like the ones with the guns who kept looking at her with looks that reminded her of the White-Coats.
She heard the footsteps before she saw someone enter, her head jolting up as she scooted backwards on the bed a little, almost pressing herself against the wall as brown eyes stare at the woman who entered. She heard the words, she understood them too. “Y...Yes I am.”, her words shook as she spoke in the same language but when she looked back at the woman, her gaze was locked on the crest on the woman's chest. A flash of relief crossing her face. She knew that - she understood it and the words tumbled from her lips quietly.
“El Mayarah...” she murmurs - still staring at the crest, a look of sadness mixing with the relief of something she actually knows. She continues speaking in Kryptonese - finding it more familiar and comforting, “You are Kryptonian - are of the House of El.”

Brows tightened together, lips tightened, all while the angered expression her breath was heavy. Her heart thumped against her chest so hard she didn’t need super hearing to hear it. She decided to be brave, that was going to bite her in the ass as it always did. Anger and panic filled her being for the moments of silences that lingered within the room. She didn’t understand when things where getting so good in her life she had to deal with her life being in danger. Again. Her arms rested across her chest, she watched the corner carefully. It wasn’t until her colored eyes caught just a glimpse of what appeared to be a child. Her features softened suddenly as her once folded dropped. Tilting her head just slightly she couldn’t help but get lower to the ground.
❝ Hey, it’s okay. ❞
She said softly hearing the whimpers fall from her lips. The way her eyes looked around Lena could tell she saw her but was looking more through her than at her. Wondering eyes shifting, shaking as if cold and the way little fingers covered hear ears. She knew something was wrong, but what she’d have to ask. Shifting to point at the door a brow rose slightly.
❝ Did you do that? ❞
She wanted to help the pain the child seemed to be in however her heart still raced. Seemed to beat a mile a minute the unknown of who had done the damages. Once that was clear perhaps she could calm, loosen the muscles and figure out where on earth or not had child child come from because she knew for a fact six hours ago she hadn’t had a child in her office when she left for the night. She hardly left the office as is no way someone could just drop off a child without her knowing.
As soft as the words were, to Seren they were so loud. The fear and pure confusion was impossible for her to hide as she cringed and curled into herself slightly, quickly backing towards the wall again as brown eyes clench closed. She didn’t understand what was going on with her - but at least things weren’t so scary - she felt safer here, at least than she did back down there before she snuck into here. This office - this place, it seemed much safer and far away from the people who had been hurting her before.
Her eyes blink open as she hears a question, her hands still clutching at her ears as she nodded shortly but quickly, “I.. I .. Sorry.” she mumbles the words, the words seeming strange on her tongue, her voice still strained - disuse was pretty clear. She wanted to explain, to not have this woman angry at her - oh Rao.. what if she didn’t like her being here? What if she sent her back to the White-Coats? Her body was shaking terribly as she collapses on the ground once more, her body curling into herself - back pressed against the wall as she whimpers again.
“S-Sorry. Sorry..” She speaks again before a soft ramble of Kryptonese escapes her, yet again still saying sorry but also that she will be good. She doesn’t have any clue if her words are understood- but they are said more for her own comfort. The words familiar and comforting to her own ears that still were hurting from how loud everything around her still was.
if you would be so kind as to reblog this if you feel insecure about your writing skills.
“PTSD sufferers don’t get to move on. This is how the disease works. Forgiveness, acceptance, inner peace–all of things are well and good, but at the end of the day, PTSD doesn’t care. You’re still going to jump when someone slams a door. You’re still gonna have nightmares. The trauma is not just a horrible event or experience. It’s a life sentence. It’s a burden that cannot be shed.”

Lena has never came into work late EVER except for today. She spent the night at Kara’s and waited for her to return from her early morning hero work so they could have a decent breakfast that was owed to her before she headed to the office. The time they had wrapped up it was 9 o’clock. Two hours later than she would usually come in, as she had stepped in she found herself MISSING a front glass door. Her colored eyes scanned over the front entrance several times stepping around the glass carefully. Her heels hitting the marble floor of the lobby straight into the security’s office. Her brows knitted together bright green eyes fuel of fear yet anger as she pointed towards the mess in the front. ❝ Why was I not made aware of this!, you are the head of security. Tell me what you are doing about this.❞ She began, she wasn’t upset about the door, no it was far beyond that. Insurance would cover the door, it could easily be replace it. It was the fear that suddenly sunk inside her from seeing it. Lillian was still out there, Lex already tried to kill her once who was to say he wouldn’t try that again?
When she finished yelling at the security, she finally allowed herself to push through the building and take the elevator up all the way to her office. Her eyes focused only on the phone between her fingers, fix emailing the insurance company. Secondly she would have to tell Kara, mostly because in this moment she was panicking about it. When the elevator dinged to her floor, her eyes shifted back to her doors, opened slightly damaged but still closed. Hesitantly, her feet moved under her towards her office fearing for the worse. Pushing open the doors with both hands, she searched the room. Nothing seemed out of place or taken, that was until her eyes went towards her small glass coffee table and white couch. She chess pieces still sitting there slightly shifted, not enough for anyone to notice but Lena.
Slowly setting down her purse, attention never shifted from where they where now focused on. She was one to carry a gun, mostly for her safety but in this moment she forgotten about it. Only her breath still for a second. ❝ Security will be here if you don’t show yourself soon. They already know there is an intrusion. Let’s not make it worse.❞
Seren was struggling badly to stay calm. It was hard. She had been through a lot since landing on Earth, the young Kryptonian had suffered a lot - she knew people had died on Krypton she knew her home was gone, that there was no going back there. She remembered the rocking of her pod - remembered looking back and seeing nothing but Krypton on fire. But landing on Earth - she had been hurt and kept captive by those that had found her. She had learnt to not trust so easily, that while something about the sun made her special and able to do things - like fly. There were people who didn’t like it - that used glowing rocks to cause her harm and hurt her. She had escaped on her own - had tried to get as far away as she could - but at any moment she was terrified of being found and taken back.
She heard the person entering and she was literally shaking, her hands still clutching over her ears, her body pressed against the white couch trying to become as small as she possibly could. Was she in trouble? Was this person going to hurt her? Her breathing quickened, the beginnings of a panic attack starting to wrack her body.
When she heard a woman speaking close by, she let out a small whimper. But the words clicked and she knew better than to try and stay hidden, instead she moved - still shaking as she half crawled from behind the couch, still wearing nothing but a gown - her feet dirty and bare. But her small body was covered in small marks that were healing faster now that she was no longer being harmed and suppressed by the green rocks. As soon as she was on her feet though - her hands moved back to her ears - why was everything so loud?
Another whimper escapes her as she looks at the woman, fear on Seren’s face as she speaks softly. Her words coming out in a small ramble of Kryptonese before stumbling to speak in English. “I-I’m sorry.” she mumbles before whimpering again, her body was still shaking slightly as she tried to calm her breathing, her eyes darting around the room.
