“These will be so cute for the gala!” Thea mused trying out the fifth of nearly identical to the untrained eye pair of black heels. Just because they had the money to go buy exclusive pieces it didn’t mean they would forfeit the fun of going to the mall, Metropolis had the best shops. “What are you gonna wear? I wanna match but not too much-” Thea inquired looking at the mirror and with a sigh decided that no, the heels looked cute on the shelf but did nothing for her small feet.

“Oliver won’t come. He never comes out anymore-” she vented to her friend. “Any suggestions on how to guilt him into being my plus one?”

Zeus had been watching the woman for quite some time after she acquired an item that was meant to be locked away on Olympus, it needed to be locked away once again. So he was sure he would startle her with his sudden appearance. “I believe you are messing with forces well beyond your understanding Ms. Luthor”

     evie was quite possibly on cloud nine. her adoption by lena had officially been signed off, her name had now been changed to evelyn luthor and they were on her moms private jet headed to a destination being kept a secret from her. Pulling her feet up underneath her, Evie looked out the window to the clouds below “Mama, when are you going to tell me where we are going?”. was it a surprise? she didn’t like them in the slightest.

“I didn’t,” he began to protest before realizing that she was right and sighed, rubbing a hand over his face. “It was a long night,” was the only thing he could say in his defense.

‘There’s someone I’d like you to meet’. It comes out in a rush, and she wonders if it’s clear to Lena just how nervous she is about all this. She swallows tightly, taking another sip of her tea in an attempt to steady herself, and breathes out slowly. 

They’ve been having these lunches quite regularly since they began to attempt to mend their relationship. Once a week, at least, with both of them making an effort to attend, or reschedule if needed. They’d been a little awkward at first, as if they’d both been incredibly aware of the things they shouldn’t talk about, but gradually over the weeks, and then months, they’d become easier. 

She hasn’t been this nervous since the first one. She clears her throat, and smooths her hands invisible creases in her pants. She looks up at Lena, and says, ‘I’ve been seeing someone. For... for quite a while now. And I’d like you to meet them, if... if you’re comfortable with that’.
