Dean was confused...he like the others that fought against that Anti Monitor retained memories from the previous life. So he was located on Earth Prime now and despite every effort, he could not locate Sam or anyone from his previous life on this Earth. While everyone was dealing with this Lex Luthor bastard, Dean was trying and failing to find a way back to his Earth if his Earth even existed anymore, even calling out to Castiel didn’t work. When Kara entered the room he wasn’t paying attention to what she was saying. 

“I’m sorry Kara, I get there’s something strange going on but I have bigger issues here, I can’t find my brother or anyone that I knew in the old life or previous multiverse what the hell the other life was. I need time to process this, this isn’t my territory, where I came from you were nothing but a comic book character”

“Because it’s good to see you again, Supergirl!” Total nonsense, reunions were just simply one of his many excuses to give or receive hugs. There was a bright smile on the man’s features either way in response to this period of time where Lena had to go to the DEO.

He didn’t over stay his welcome, when the logical hug duration had run out. He let go. But that smile was still there. It wasn’t going anywhere. His arms politely went on his hips as he let out a pleased hum. “I hope you’ve been well and taking care of yourself!”

“Hey there, you saw nothing!” But she had! Kara had! Lena was on a phone call that had lasted hours, was probably going to last several more from what he sensed. So he knew it was okay to have a controlled nap. 

But from anyone else’s perspective but his own, he was napping on the job as Lena’s bodyguard - her one line of protection other then this cities Supergirl. “Nothing at all.” He said with an innocent face and cheeky smile with a chuckle for a moment or two.

“Did you come to see Lena? She’s been busy on the phone for quite a while.” In her office. Must be something really important! The man was just being patient and letting his partner in making the world better do what she needed to do. “Kara, right?”
