Don’t sit and wait. Get out there, feel life. Touch the sun, and immerse in the sea.

James Bridle. Laaaaaaandsat.tumblr.com (2014)
The Landsat program has continuously recorded images of Earth from space since 1972. The satellite currently captures four hundred images per day, completing coverage of the Earth’s surface every sixteen days. As Landsat images are posted to the U.S. Geological Survey website, artist James Bridle posts them to his own website. Paul Soulelis then republished a selection in his journal Printed Web, available at the MoMA Library.
Both are on view in the new library exhibition Aerial Imagery in Print, 1860 to Today. -jt
“I don’t give a shit what the world thinks. I was born a bitch, I was born a painter, I was born fucked. But I was happy in my way. You did not understand what I am. I am love. I am pleasure, I am essence, I am an idiot, I am an alcoholic, I am tenacious. I am simply I am….”
Frida Kahlo (from an unsent letter to Diego Rivera)
Frieda Hughes is a painter and poet. She is also the daughter of two giants of the literary world, Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes, and didn’t read her parents’ poetry until her mid-30s
“Her voice, as she reads the poem aloud, is deep and low; eerily resonant of the voice of her mother, who was recorded reading her Ariel poems a few months before her death. She gassed herself in an oven in the middle of the night, leaving out bread and milk as breakfast for the sleeping Frieda and her one-year-old brother”
There is an Indian Belief that everyone is in a house of four rooms: A physical, a mental, an emotional and a spiritual. Most of us tend to live in one room most of the time, but unless we go into every room every day, even if only to keep it aired, we are not complete.

One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again.
