Good eye, anon. As someone who loves houseplants and had an ivy plant until recently, it looks like ivy to me.

okay letās talk about how all of taylorās aoty wins were for albums where she was unapologetic and stepped away from what was expected of a certain genre or, frankly, what people expected of her.
with fearless, she changed the narrative of country music so that it wasnāt just by, about, and for middle aged men. instead, she made an album that was truly about teenage love and heartbreak and made it feel like a fairytale that resonated with both fans as well as critics.
with 1989, it was her break into pop and she did it perfectly. both bmlg and media outlets thought she was being too rash by stepping away from country entirely but it was arguably her biggest hit worldwide with shake it off and blank space topping the charts for weeks, and she continued to receive acclaim for it long after it came out.
with folklore, she did what she wanted. she combined country, indie, and pop onto one record and tied it all together with her signature storytelling. and it worked. so many fans and critics received it as a masterpiece that was truly what a quarantine should be for both the artists and the listeners.
iām so so happy because every time she took an artistic risk, her work paid off! i really hope that taylorās success helps other artists step out of their comfort zones and make the art they truly want to make and get recognized for it just the same <3
