terms marked with * use the solfege system, a form of musical denotation where the 1st note of a major scale is do, the 2nd re, the 3rd mi, the 4th fa, the 5th so, the 6th la, the 7th ti before going back to the home note do. do note that when an interval is minor, the ending vowel is changed to an “i”. for example, if the fourth note was moved down a semitone, it would be fi instead of fa. because the 7th note of a major scale is a minor second above the 6th note instead of a major second it’s already a ti. its major counterpart would be te. (thank you to mmq for showing us a new approach to slang)
