Okay party people, let’s talk passenger princesses. Some of yous may have seen my tags yesterday:

This was literally like when you scratch a bug bite that’s kinda itchy and suddenly it’s so itchy you can’t stop yourself from scratching it into a bloody pulp. So here’s my bloody pulp for you. Isn’t that a pleasant analogy?

So, okay. Amelia, our lovely host, cannot drive, so she’s recruited these bozos to give her some pointers, and she’ll give them a little Chicken Shop-style interview for their troubles.

However, as the original post I spewed my tags beneath so brilliantly pointed out, Alex doesn’t seem content to sit there and be the interviewee, so he starts interviewing her back! And he’s so natural and charming about it that neither she nor most of the people commenting on the video even seem to notice this!

As mentioned, Alex’s role here is, aside from interviewee, to teach Amelia specific things about driving. He barely does this, and that’s generous. What he does do is go completely off the wheels and starts telling the very obviously speed-averse Amelia to overtake the camera car, because “I want to see you do this.” AND SHE DOES IT! She doesn’t even question him! 😭

You know whose methods she does question? George’s. George, who is a very nice good boy, seems to be putting in a very earnest effort to gentle parent Amelia with as much information as he can give when things go haywire, only for Amelia to literally SHUT DOWN his instruction multiple times, like STOP you’re annoying! Forget about going off script, she’s not even letting him stay on the script she gave him! And he gets so stressed he needs to take a breather, so she offers him positive affirmations, which he gratefully accepts with a “please” that’s literally just left of a whimper. She may as well be fingering him.

And what happens when things go haywire with Alex? He fucking LAUGHS at her and refuses to tell her how to fix it, and it’s literally better received than George being nice and thorough in his instruction!! 😭 He’s deliberately fucking with her the whole time, like raising her seat when she complained it was low until it was as high as it could go, AND IT WAS SO CHARMING YOU DIDN’T EVEN NOTICE! HE IS A MENACE!!!

And, my final point — don’t ever go on F1 reddit unless I tell you to, and I’m telling you to do that now, because the normie reactions to this video are such important perspective.

Like they are eating out of his HAND! He’s teasing her the whole time, and they’re still like ‘now there’s a guy you can trust to watch your drink.’ And they’re RIGHT!! None of this is him being actively mean or malicious or anything. He literally just fucks with people as his baseline level of interaction, and he’s so absurdly good at instinctually understanding the line he can take it to that it never comes off as anything other than fun and charming. His good vibes are too powerful, he could get away with anything! And we should let him. Especially if it involves George, somehow. Okay that's the end.
