Mordin nodded firmly. He had expected as much — and in truth, he would have been disappointed if Shepard had not expressed further need for his help. Someone else might get it wrong, as saying goes, he thought dryly. A sense of heady exhaustion settled through him for a moment but he ignored it, straightened a little in front of the vidcom.
“Am at your service, Shepard,” he answered without hesitation. “Injuries severe, of course; likely not capable of physical combat role as employed against Collectors for foreseeable future. Perhaps ever. But mind still sharp. Have heard news of Crucible project.” Top secret project, he thought ruefully. But STG contacts and clearance still good. Nothing too obscure. “Am certainly able to provide intellectual expertise in any realm necessary.”
Alex nodded respectfully, despite the pain it caused. Mordin was worth the discomfort, especially if he was in a comparable amount of pain himself “I’ve got enough hands holdin’ guns, Mordin. The Crucible project would love to have you.” He offered the salarian a small smile before looking away long enough to give Mordin full access to the information via omni-tool. He was far from surprised that his friend knew about it, considering his connections, but he would need every scrap of information possible to be of full use.
“We’ve been makin’ improvements to the design lately. Lucky enough to be ahead of schedule, all things considered, but I’ll never turn down help when I can find it.”
