@key_photos asked what is the alternative to the infamous "scooping" habit that most golfers battle with. I have slowed two different swings down to show you the difference. In the first video you can see how I am trying to "lift", "guide", or "scoop" the ball into the air. The still photo underneath shows you at impact how the shaft of the club is already accelerated and my wrist is unhinging. The second video, at a slower pace, shows how you want to be more so at impact. The shaft of the club is laid behind my hands causing me to hold the angle a little longer through the ball. You can also see this in the still photo underneath. What you can do to work on this is to try to consciously hold the angle your wrists make until your hands get passed your left leg. In the end, this is caused by us humans trying to take the place of the golf club. The golf club is made for is to hit down on the ball. Allow the club to do its job. It doesn't need our help.
