jessica rabbit is literally a sex symbol though she can't be asexual?
she is in romo with a rabbit because he makes her laugh and aside from using her looks to get things out of people she literally never once shows interest in anything or anyone sexually through the entire movie and is clearly appalled when anyone makes advances towards her like there is canonical evidence that jessica rabbit from the classic motion picture who framed rogger rabbit is an asexual character Â
I am here as fuck for this. Jessica Rabbit for new asexual icon.
âShe canât be asexual because sheâs hot thoâ
âI can only see her as a sexual object so I canât imagine her not wanting to have sex with me.â
Iâve always remembered the line âIâm not bad, Iâm just drawn that wayâ as Jessicaâs admission that while sexualized, she isnât inherently a sexual entity.
I mean hell, literally, her line before is âYou donât know how hard it is being a woman looking the way I do.â, to which Eddie responds; âYou donât know how hard it is being a man looking at a woman looking the way you do.â
I think thatâs pretty damning evidence to her asexuality. The whole plot point with Jessica is how everyone is either convinced sheâs sleeping with every human and toon around, or why does she stay faithful to Roger.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit does a great job at satirizing Hollywood/American culture and ideals when it comes to appearances. It also does a great job at hiding some really well thought out challenges to how we look at others in plain sight.
I completely believe that Jessica Rabbit is an asexual romantic (hetero/bi/pan/etc not sure, and to be honest, I donât know if that part is important, as sheâs married to the toon she loves).
I LOVE this headcanon <3
This is important!
This headcanon is just so perfect I had to draw it

Does Supernatural Have a Problem with Representation and Diversity: A Mathematical Study
At the end of season 12, another fan favorite minority character, Eileen, was killed. This has come in a long line of favorite SPN characters who were people of color, women, lgbt+, and/or disabled being killed seemingly before their time. This, like other instances with such characters like Kevin and Charlie, sparked outrage from many fans. Some called the move sexist and ableist. Many said it was not inherently bad that Eileen died, but the way it was done was disgraceful and unworthy of such a beloved character. Other fans fought back against these claims, citing that everyone dies in supernatural and that no one should be immune. Besides, others said, with more representation, shouldnât that mean more death?
But is there actually more representation? And is the death count equal? Are we being persuaded by biases and personal agendas?
After the season 12 finale, Iâve set out to see if there is a quantifiable difference in representation, huge differences that can be backed up by numbers and not just perception. Much of this is going to cover gender and race, as those are the easiest diversity angles to notice, but I will touch upon other areas. This information was not compiled to confirm any set of biases, but instead answer these questions at the heart of the debate and anger. Some of the information complied is quite obvious, but having set numbers is vital in these debates.
The rest, which is a lot, is under the cut:

Seven Things About (Rewatching) Supernatural: 5x13-5x22
So you know that thing people say: âHey, I love Supernatural!  Shame it only went on for five seasonsâŠâ blah, blah, etc?  Yeah, no.  Nooooo.  Kripkeâs original ending is at best a gut-wrenching Pyrrhic victory that could only have been worse if Bobby had stayed dead.  Yeah, Dean got out of a life that he hated, but at the cost of literally everything he cares about.  Cas is gone back to Heaven, and Sam is trapped in Hell for eternity in a cage with two thwarted archangels.  Yeah, there is a reason Deanâs rocking the Hunterâs Helper with his potato salad, and itâs because Suburbs Arenât Magic.  And because heâs Dean, heâs going to go through the motions until he is dead because he promised Sam he would.  (This is not to say that he cannot find some genuine happiness with Lisa â I think he does â but thatâs a discussion for S6.)
While weâre being hideously depressed, letâs go ahead and address how three out of our four protagonists are rocking actual symptoms of depression, with two of them rocking suicidal ideation.  Dean makes a plan and begins carrying it out â making final visits, collecting his property, writing a note, etc. â while Bobby stops at simply having the round in his desk to reflect on daily.  Samâs feelings are more diffuse, and he doesnât really clock suicidal to me per se in the way Bobby and Dean do, but his struggle with his own self-loathing peaks in S5.  Hardly surprising, given his guilt about Mary and Jessâ deaths, his lifelong sense of isolation â being a âfreakâ â got confirmed in the worst possible way with Azazel, Ruby, and Lucifer, his struggle with addiction, etc. are all in play.  Dean being critical of his Heaven in 5x16 probably didnât help either.  Like, I can see where Dean was coming from there â the things Sam remembers fondly line up perfectly with things that are a source of pain for Dean â but way to further alienate your brother, you dick.  But hey, thereâs one silver lining: nothing like crippling fucking depression to eliminate all desire, right?  Thatâs the one good thing: it lets you kick Famineâs ass. Â
And while weâre in peopleâs heads, Lucifer in Samâs?  Kind of makes me look at the MoC storyline and think, âRight.  This is why Sam is super wigged out right now.â  Because heâs had someone in the driverâs seat who sees the worst things in his head â the things that human beings are like, âYeah, probably not the best way to handle these emotions, letâs notâ â and knows what itâs like for those things to suddenly get priority.  Lucifer tries to frame it as fulfillment of desire, exhilaration, justice, etc., and considering that Sam Winchester is the Moral Injury Poster Boy thatâs not entirely ineffective, but itâs not really what Sam wants.  Itâs just giving the id and fear and anger priority. Â
Hereâs another an uncomfortable thought: does the fact of Detroit being the location where Sam consents to be Luciferâs vessel prove that Endverse was a real timeline before the Winchesters wrecked it?  Detroit is mentioned three times: 5x04 (being where Sam said yes in Deanâs absence), 5x10 (being where Lucifer predicts Sam will say yes), and 5x22 (where Lucifer says to Dean, âI told you: this would always happen in Detroitâ). There are other options â that Lucifer reads Deanâs mind, or knows what Dean told Sam, or that Lucifer was somehow looped in on the story Zachariah fabricated â but ouch.  I am happier in my âZachariah made the whole thing upâ bubble.
JODY.  JODY JODY JODY.  I feel morbid and awful being excited that sheâs here now, what with her showing up in a particularly tragic episode â her dead son comes back for a few days and then murders her husband â but I love her character.  Also, 5x15 does this really interesting thing with how the application and enforcement of law â and the relationship of law enforcement with the community â can have odd results.  A handful of dead people rise from the grave, and the Sheriffâs department decides to roll with it, probably in no small part because Sheriff Mills has her own miracle zombie.  It probably also did a lot to get her and Bobby on the same page in a more meaningful way.  Yeah, law enforcement may build an affectionate-ish relationship with the âtown drunk,â but having dead people show up?  Yeah, Jody got her talk from the man himself. Â
Chuck as God starts making sense with Swan Song.  Like, okay, it looks weird early on, but as things progress, the picture kind of comes together: the Apocalypse, etc. was the outline, but the characters God-as-Chuck is working with are living, conscious beings.  Humanity, angels, demons, theyâve all got their own motives.  If itâs tricky as a writer of imaginary people to keep folks on task (and it is), keeping conscious beings who are at least semi-aware of and hostile to whatâs been/being written on the path goes well beyond herding cats.  Also, heâs committed himself to a particular character that suits him â heâs kind of a coward, doesnât want a position of real importance, probably even regrets that earlier work or feels trapped by it because heâs God and he Said That Thing Once and now itâs happening and has to just ride it out â and curiously that puts him in a really good position to both subvert and watch what happens when a little bit of insider knowledge gets dished out.  Itâs like Cas helping Dean in 4x18 on a bigger scale.  Chuck canât visibly intercede in the action, but he can tweak things around the edges.  Couple of resurrections here, stage an introduction there by writing himself into the action, etc.
Nearly-human Cas.  I think he gets overshadowed by human!Cas â and I wonder sometimes if the show wants us to forget about late S5âČs forays into what a de-powered Cas would actually be like â but watching him keep trying, even unto the Great Holy Oil Molotov of 2010 is incredibly satisfying.  You know the Angel of the Lord from the barn in Pontiac, IL is would look at this whole thing andâŠI donât know.  Poof off to some mountain top to hyperventilate, probably.  Also, Cas sure does seem to have a penchant for appearing out of nowhere naked, doesnât he? Â
Bonus Thing: Crowley, you slick bastard. Â Just watching him work in the latter half of S5 â the Brady thing, details on the Horsemen, Bobbyâs deal, etc. is â well, no question heâs a bastard, but heâs fun to watch. Â .
She was relieved she hadn't pressed for more proof."Yeah, but I have to escort you out and come up with an explanation later."She wound the bandage around her finger. "And I'll need those cuffs back." She grabbed her jacket. "And I'm assuming you want your things back?"
Her hand moved for her gun, but that wouldnât help this situation. She crossed her arms.âSheriff is my day job. Hunting is an occasionalâŠI run into it when it comes up. One of those, once you know, you canât really stay out of it.SoâŠcalm down before someone else notices your aggressive stance and isnât as nice about it. â
âThat doesnât answer my question, Sheriff.â She spoke lowly, her stance becoming more subtle, but definitely not less alert. She figured that if the woman knew what she was talking about, sheâd have to test her. But everything she had was confiscated, including her holy water. âProve that youâre human.âÂ
"Oh." She'd answered the wrong question. She hadn't expected the follow up. That would be trickier. She pulled a paper from her scratch paper drawer and ran her finger along the edge. She hated paper cuts, but it would draw less attention than pulling a knife. "Red. We have salt in the break room. There's a church two blocks away? I don't know what else you want." She opened another drawer and rummaged for a Band-Aid.
âYou wonât believe my actual reasonâ She laughed and shook her head. âLook, you can shove me in a cell, and Iâll be out before you know it, or we can just cut to the chase and let me go back and finish what I need to finish.â She beamed. âBut so far I think youâre just wanting the long, hard way. So, might as wellâŠSo. The house I was breaking into had a ghostâit already killed that one girl just a few miles from this very station. Black goo? Ring a bell? Iâm sure youâve seen the reports from the coroner.âÂ
âSee? Was that so hard?âsaid Jody reaching for the keys. â Are we talking about exhuming a body or do we have to burn something else?â She hoped she had that right. Sheâd picked the boysâ brains before on things she might encounter, but she hadnât come toe-to-toe with a ghost herself. She hoped she had it right. Â
Gin gave the woman a blank stare, before staring down and across the room like she was in an episode of the office. âSlow up a minute there.â She pulled her hands free from the cuffs. âYou.. I didnât take you for a hunter..â Her stare became a bit more suspicious before she eyed her up. âWhoâre you with?â She took a threatening step forward, luckily the chair had been between them or sheâd have this cop against the wall.Â
Her hand moved for her gun, but that wouldn't help this situation. She crossed her arms."Sheriff is my day job. Hunting is an occasional...I run into it when it comes up. One of those, once you know, you can't really stay out of it.So...calm down before someone else notices your aggressive stance and isn't as nice about it. "

âDoesnât matter. Itâs a weapon. And if that badgeâs legit I should take it away because that clearly wasnât procedure.Try again.â
Christ, she sounded like her mother. âSherrif. Come on. The longer you keep me in here, the more headache for you, I can guarantee it. More paperwork tooâ She reminded her.Â
"Let me worry about paperwork. You were there, you broke in and entered. And according to the computer, you don't exist. So, unless you give me an actual reason...Why should I let you go?"
The cast literally love each other as much as we love them
âGuns, in my experience, are not harmless. In fact, it makes all of this worse.Well, is Gin short for Virginia or something else?â Jody shook her head. âGive me something to work with and weâll see what I can do.â
âDid you even check the rounds in it? Come onâ She smirked. âYou saw my badge, itâs legit. Iâm conducting an investigation into the murders in this town. What more do you want from me?âÂ
"Doesn't matter. It's a weapon. And if that badge's legit I should take it away because that clearly wasn't procedure.Try again."
âTry me. Itâs not like I can book a Jane Doe. I could, but it would be headache.â She was chained to a desk. Still, Jody wasnât taking chances when people hinted at less than usual circumstances. âI mightâve seen a few âwonât believe itâ things.â
âStory for story?â She tried with a cheesy grin. âBesides, the gunâs harmless, so canât we just chalk it up to a slap on the wrist and weâll all be on our way?â She asked shrugging and opening her hands a little. âI already told you a name, so.. am I really a Jane Doe?â She asked with a smirk, leaning forward and arching a brow at her.Â
"Guns, in my experience, are not harmless. In fact, it makes all of this worse.Well, is Gin short for Virginia or something else?" Jody shook her head. "Give me something to work with and we'll see what I can do."

The girl had been charged with a B&E with a deadly weapon. Jody glanced over at her from her desk. Nothing was coming up. It normally wouldnât raise any flags, but sheâd been too efficient for this to be a fluke. And a person being this off the grid raised flags. âWhatâs the story? Doomsday prepper parents keep you under a rock?â
âNoâ Gin smirked and shook her head, trying to hide a chuckle from the sheriff sitting in front of her. Not that she could do much more, she was just handcuffed to the table. âIâd bore ya with the details, that you wonât even believe if I told yaâÂ
"Try me. It's not like I can book a Jane Doe. I could, but it would be headache." She was chained to a desk. Still, Jody wasn't taking chances when people hinted at less than usual circumstances. "I might've seen a few 'won't believe it' things."
