The Selection Series by Kiera Cass is a wonderful book. Aspen, at first, is a good man, he is just worried that he might not grant America a good life. Which is I think, as she said, is okay for her. Letâs all thank him because thatâs where the story starts, to be in the selection. After all, there will be no progress in the story if Aspen did not insist for America to apply for the selection.Â
At Maxonâs first appearance, I didnât really expect his personality to be like that. I thought he is going to be a boorish or arrogant prince who throws pompous language to anyone. Because for the past time I am reading books, boys were like that. And I obviously, now, hate and get fed up with boys like that in stories.
While I admire America because of her love to her family and uhm, to Aspenâeven though he is not the lead. Because how can she love someone for that long that although Maxon is in front of her, still Aspen is her love. I am a house of cards, by the way, thatâs why I canât relate. Kidding.
I abhorred Maxonâs father for hurting him physically and loved the Queen because she is so sweet.Â
The miscommunication between them is really the problem and the lack of assurance. The uncertainty of both persons, Maxon and America shares to the reason why they are not still on a commitment. Thereâs a relationship, but thereâs no commitment. And the fact that Maxon has other girls makes me crazy.Â
Anyways, I hate the fact that Celeste died. I loved her after she talked to America.Â
