My Belladonnas ❤️❤️❤️
College wouldn't be as colorful as it was without them.
And 10 years later, here we are still friends despite having our own lives. In 10 years, meeting them or even talking to them is so rare, we can even count in our fingers how many times we talked. Life updates was based from social media posts. However, we never left each other's hearts. 10 years after graduation, here we are in the City of Pines, the place where we met and spent the peak of our adolescence, a place we'll always call our home no matter where we are.
Actually, I went to Baguio out of impulsivity after recieving a message from Selle. While prepping for my trip, Isa called me, informing about Selle's message going to Baguio alone. So we agreed to update each other for the plan since the tip was not planned. I've been spending time with Isa(she's Baguio based) a few times for the last months as I process my Graduate school requirements, it's been my routine to go to Baguio with double purpose(Grad school, and life). We rented a condo for us to stay for 2 days. As I arrived at the condo, Selle is already there so while waiting for Isa, we talked and reminisce. On our first night, we had a dinner at an American resto, had a late night coffee/refreshments, walked passed Burnham park(oh, how I missed late night walks at Baguio) .Talked all night while listening to random music. Gone are the shallow topic. I love how mature and open minded we've become.
The next day, while they are sleeping, I am working, yep I brought my work with me. Bought our all time favorite macsbox(our go to lunch during college) for lunch. Sound trip. Stayed in the condo for the whole day just sleeping, talking, eating, sleeping again and soundtripping until we decided to go to SM. Funny how we all want to go Toy kingdom, not for ouselves but for our nephews/son. Mga titang ina at ulirang ina. Then went to a self studio for some snaps and had a hearty dinner at Hill station Bistro. Another round of catching up we even forgot to claim our pictures from the self- studio. Isa had to go home since she has a work, she took a day off to spend time with us, another day off is too much, she had a lot of things to do. While, Selle and I went back at the condo where sleep won't even visit us so we just had another round of catching ups and talking about the novels we incendentally both are reading. The next day, I plan to meet my students via online platform but unfortinately there's blackouts around Baguio, my laptop and even my ipad are empty batteries. My phone is about to turn off, good thing I managed to message Isa and ask her if we can go to the hotel where she works as an HR suervisor, since there is electricity in their area. After we checked out, Selle and I went to SM to leave our things at the tourist lounge and claim our picture from the Dear Self studio. Isa treats us for brunch at their hotel's cafe while charging our gadgets before we travel back home. We are so proud of our Bestfriend, Isa seeing her in her uniform kahit dinodog show namin siya, well that's what best friends do, good thing malabong dalawin nila ako sa workplace ko and di nila ako madodog show dun. After the brunch we bid good bye to Isa and went back to SM to get our things. Selle and I rode the same cab since their terminal is on the way to our terminal. We bid good byes at the taxi then went home.
That was one of the best holidays I spent. For I spent it with people, I know I can always run to. My BEST FRIENDS.
"The holding it together so...." trend is hitting everyone so hard. It shows that we all have battles to fight, we all have problems we are all holding up and go on with our lives.

Life’s Season 30 premier
As I reach my 29th season finale, here are 30 lessons I learned before my Life’s season 30 premier:
1. Life is unpredictable. You can’t always trust that your plans would work. So learn to be spontaneous.
2. Give yourself a chance to grow. Go out of your comfort zone. When an opportunity knocks, open your door, no matter how scary, or how hard it is to step out of the door. Pain and hardships are what would make the greatest plot twist.
3. In every aspect of your life, you would meet 2 kinds of person. 1. The person who carries a lesson for you to learn and 2. The person who’ll gain a lesson from you. These people might stay or not.
4. “If’s” are obstacles against your possible triumphs.
5. Individual differences. Each person is different in many ways. We could all be looking at the same sight but we have different perceptions. We might experience the same pain, but we have different level of tolerance. We may be carrying the same burdens but we all have different strengths.
6. We can grow old together, but not all can mature at the same time.
7. Compartmentalization is an important key for a rationalized decisions.
8. Crying won’t solve a problem, but it helps reduce the heavy feelings.
9. We can’t balance the different aspects of our life, there are some that needs more time or attention, what we should learn is HARMONY among them.
10. SOMETIMES, selfishness is self-love. We should learn when to be selfless and when to be selfish.
11. Gratitude. Appreciate things you have and people in your life.
12. Live in the present. It’s good to look back but don’t delve in the past. Planning a future is okay but don’t use all your energy thinking about the future for you might miss how awesome the present is.
13. Trust yourself, your values and beliefs that have guide your along the way. Don’t lose them just to seek other’s approval.
14. Trust your instincts. It would save you from loosing more important things in life.
15. We can’t give what we don’t have. So always save something for yourself.
16. Don’t just be a consumer, be a responsible one. Prioritize the quality over quantity, the needs over wants, avoid buying impulsively.
17. Asking for help is not a weakness. Being vulnerable is a strength.
18. Do not compare your life with others, it would rob you with real happiness.
19. Be kind and compassionate. We’ll never know what others are going through, the least we can do for them is to be kind and compassionate.
20. There are people who’s aura doesn’t match yours, but it does not give you the right to hurt them.
21. Control your social media engagements. Don’t let it be one’s access point to your personal life.
22. Low maintenance friendship is something we should always treasure. They are home. You don’t always have to talk to them or frequently hang with them but when you do, it’s beyond the best.
23. Do not force yourself to be okay when you’re not, it would only make you feel worst.
24. Allow yourself to make mistakes. They are opportunity for growth.
25. Learn to forgive. Forgiveness is not just for people who hurt you, but for yourself to attain peace.
26. Some unsaid feelings are better left unsaid.
27. All of our choices and actions have consequences. You just have to learn which one is worth the consequence is.
28. Our parents are not here forever. Thank them, cherish them, appreciate their sacrifices, show your love to them before it’s too late.
29. Death is part of Life.
30. Prayer is powerful, it’s a weapon, a refuge, a home. It is something that makes you feel safe, its calm, its LOVE>
Family Lunch
The Academic Health break in our Univ gave me an opportunity to go out with the fam. We rarely eat outside since work and errands. Our schedule won't match. Until we had a break and bro's leave was approved. So we went to Bolinao to try Sungayan Grill, a floating restaurant that serves seafood and other sumptuous food. We availed river cruise while eating. The view, the air, and the food, we are almost complete, ate Carmi was not there since she's working overseas. Everyone enjoyed the cruise except the part when we run out of rice in while we're in the middle of the the cruise 😂😂😂, we are all willing to cut the cruise so we could come back and order more rice, but then the boatman whos pulling our floating kubo didn't hear us. So we fiished the cruise then immediately ordered more rice and additional viand when we arrived at the mother restaurant. Everyone's hungry though we all had fun.
By the way, we also bumped into the priest who was the former spiritual director of a religious organization where mama is a member of.
See some snap pics below.
Academic health break
The institution I am working for was the host for SCUAA region 1 where rigorous preparation, organization, facilitation and implementation took place, not to mention other events including last campus tour of the university president. And since it has been a very busy month, employees and students are shouting for Academic health break, gladly, University officials heard our cry, so before the closing program of SCUAA region 1 2022, memorandum regarding academic health break was released. Employees and students were delightful, including me of course. The announcement of academic break motivates me to put a check on one of my mom's checklist, that is t eat in a known floating restaurant in our province which is a more than 2hr drive from home. Told the sibs about my plan and they agreed. So happy that mother is happy and satisfied. (will post picture later.)
I facilitated a moving system quiz to my students. I encountered this system back in college specifically in my lab subjects. Since the program I am handling has no laboratory subject in their curriculum, I thought it would be a good experience for them if I integrate this kind of assessment and I guess it's good since it helped to encourage them to think harder. Here are some pros and cons I observed.
Pros
1. No cheating has been observed since they are time pressured. Imagine that 1 minute for five questions. 😂😂
2. Students were encouraged to think since they realized they can only rely on their self.
3. After the quiz, they would go back to their notes and rationalize their answers.
4. Students are observed to be more attentive in our class.
5. They took all their quizzes and activities seriously. They are more motivated than before.
Cons
1. Students were pressured.
2. More than half of each class failed.
She's diversed. She tries to keep herself together in the middle chaos. Most people see her at the beginnig and end, few people witnessed her in-betweens. A lot of misconceptions about her does not bother her. She just appreciate her peace. She respects her own personal space, a space only few could enter. She's quiet, she's happy, she's comfortable with few. She's not perfect and she's not trying to be. She is herself. Trying to keep up, trying to hold still.
“You still have a lot of time to make yourself be what you want.”
— S.E. Hinton
The wound caused by my fathers death is so deep that I can't sometimes be sympathetic to someone who also lost a family member anymore. And I am worried. I need to fix this. I feel like I am becoming a cold human.
She's about to loose it.
She’s become the soul
When you get lost, you have a choice to find yourself or be the best new version of yourself. When your feet brought you to unfamiliar place, you have to choose, to find your way back to where you are or keep moving forward and discover what is hidden. When you found yourself, have to choose, to find yourself or to to keep pretending. When the world seems so hard on you, stand firm, chin up, you wear your whole universe with you, you own that soul, so strong.

Step one, two, three, step up, knees are trembling, breath is short.
Have I fallen? Have I survive? or have I found me?
