It's time to normalize napping. When we get to elementary school, we usually stop napping, but I think we should keep doing it. In my twenties, I saw an Oprah show where a sleep expert recommended 20-30 minute naps. I thought that was crazy. In less than 30 minutes? But then I started doing that when I went out with friends. The thing actually worked! I woke up groggy, but after a few minutes I felt alert and rested. Now I nap during my lunch hour instead of struggling to make it through the day. At the weekends, I'll take a quick nap while the toddler naps so I'm ready when he gets up. Take a nap.
