The moon was bright above the Akademiya's silvery dome as they left throught the elabourate doors, Dehya almost strangling him as she tried to steady herself in her stilletos.
Heels she could do, sure, but this hoop-de-doo gala event Alhaitham had demanded she attend required a dress too sparkly for her liking and a pair of shoes that got her closer to the Archons than she liked.
"You try wearing six inches, Scribe," she growled, hobbling slighly from both the shoes and probably the specialty cocktail they were handing out like apple cider. "I'd like to see how you fare after three hours in these."
He turned, and she hated how handsome he looked in his Haravatat-coloured suiting, his hair combed and taimed making him look like a cover model from a Yae Publishing House light novel. Idiot, she thought to herself, stuffing her finger down the back of her left heel and feeling a distinct blister forming. "Are you coming?"
"I'm trying, I'd go faster if I could!"
"You could try, you're an Eremite after all."
"Well, you could fucking carry me if you're so worried about time!"
A dangerous smile flashed across his face, and he started to walk towards her. A small amount of panic mixed with the pain from her feet and the fear her breasts were about to fall out of the dress Dunyarzad had called "sexy" hit her square in the face, and she swallowed, standing up tall against his approaching form.
He stopped, inches from her, radiating body heat. Alhaitham had partook in the cocktails too, the sweet smell mixed with his cologne, and he looked her up and down before licking his lips and leaning into her ear.

A deep heat pooled in Dehya's stomach, the touch of his lips on her ear, upper cheek and chin causing her to almost melt into his arms like a useless heroine in a Kamera picture. He pulled back, smirking - enough, and she grabbed his hand, the pain in her feet miraculously gone.
She stopped, teetering a little and pushed her semi-bare chest out, enjoying his reaction. "And?"
A moment, a deliberation then -
"Yep, teleport, let's go."
