Ahem. Okay, so. I know it’s been a while, ahahahaha.
I was making good progress and then hit a rock hard wall. I promise I’ve been miring myself in guilt for not having posted for *checks notes* oh god, three whole months.
I’ve been talking things over with my beta and it’s come to light that the sheer size of the story I want to write means that I need to start keeping track of it.
As in: plotting.
Which are words I never thought would come out of me mouth — keyboard — whatever.
I’ve made a start annnnd……it’s working. I can see where I was getting stuck, why I was getting stuck, and can now start plugging the holes. Yay!
So, what does this mean for you as a reader?
Realistically, that there may be a bit more waiting as I figure out where this thing is going. I want to do a good job on it. The best stories are the immersive ones, right? Where you’re breathlessly dragged along in the flow of the story, in love with the characters, reading sections over and over because you can’t get enough. Torn between waiting desperately for the next update because you HAVE to know what happens next, and at the same time hoping it never ends.
So I want to do this right.
My goal is to be back to posting by September — October at the latest, but I really hope it won’t come to that.
