Thomas is a beginner 911 dispatcher. He just got out of training.
He’s working late one night, it’s pretty calm and quiet for once. His shift supervisor leaves to take care of some business with a problematic employee, when Thomas’ dispatch phone rings.
He answers.
“This is 911 what’s your emergency?”
Only shaking shallow breaths can be heard over the phone for a moment before a pain strained voice whispers the sentence that will forever upend Thomas’ life, and career.
“Tell my family I’m sorry”

Thomas happens to be the 911 dispatcher who gets Newt’s last cry for help when he’s about to jump
I’ll be having a good day then randomly remember that Teresa cannonly never lost her memories in book one and was just faking it the entire time. Therefore she knew that when escaping the maze they weren’t escaping into right arm, and she knew that Gally was controlled to KILL THOMAS and that Chuck WAS CONTROLLED to step in front of Thomas to save him.
Knowing that Chuck was like a brother to Thomas even before the maze.
She also KNEW that Newt wasn’t immune and that Newt and Sonya were sisters

They can never make me like you Teresa. Being raised by horrible people does not give you the excuse to be horrible as well. She helped send hundreds of CHILDREN to their deaths.
It does NOT take more than common sense to realize that is wrong no matter what the cause is for.

For those interested, here is a summary of the fanfic:
Thomas was raised in foster care but eventually taken in by new guardians Ava Paige and Janson. He is forced to attend Maze University run by WICKED corp. There he meets a sassy sarcastic boy named Newt. He starts to realize….escaping his guardians may become a lesser priority…..what will become a priority? Saving Newt’s life….no matter the cost…..
