how to make an entrance: a guide by Park Jihyo
I must protect my man.
RyuYeon
Iâm craving for more Ban Ryu and Soo Yeon moments. Like seriously, they shouldnât be on the background. Theyâre lead role worthy. I can even see more character development in them than the main characters and thatâs somehow disappointing. But whatâs more disappointing is that they finished taping already so they canât do anything about our sentiments.Â
Anyway, Ban Ryu and Soo Yeonâs chemistry is so strong I might die from happiness. I love how different their personality is but somehow still compliment with each other.
I love how Ban Ryu acts cold but becomes soft when it comes to Soo Yeon. I love how he smile and laugh just by reading her letters. And I love how much he tries his best to be a better person.
Soo Yeon, on the other hand is just perfect for Ban Ryu. Sheâs not your ordinary girl. Sheâs beautiful. Sheâs the sister of the best swordsman in the capital whom she knocked out two times. Sheâs also good in nature so basically Ban Ryu can learn so much from her since heâs the coldest person in the capital.
I really love them. I would even repeat their scenes for a hundred of times without getting bored or getting tired. Thatâs how hard I shipped those two. Theyâre the main reason Iâm watching Hwarang right now so I hope, I really hope nothing bad will happen to them because you know tragedy is a trend in historical drama. I donât care what happens to the main characters just please leave Ban Ryu and Soo Yeon alone âcause they both deserve to be happy together.

What a #1 Win Means in Kpop
I saw someone on youtube say that many girl groups who cry are over exaggerating and are faking emotions to be dramatic, and only few groups (this person was referring to EXID as being one of the few) are truly emotional when they cry. First of all, why the fuck was it necessary to trash on other groups when they win, even if you were trying to bring EXID up, you shit talked other groups in the process. Shame on you, EXID fans know Hani loves and protects girl groups like crazy and sheâs a huge supporter of girls supporting other girls, and youâre out here shit talking girl groups for unnecessary reasons. Second, a #1 win means so much in kpop, it doesnât matter who you are, those first #1 wins mean something. a #1 win means your future as an idol has become alot more secure. the first #1 is the start of so many other great things like getting that first paycheck, which means paying your parents, itâs the first sign of true success in the industry. So groups like EXID, f(x), AoA, they had to wait some time for that first #1, and it was super emotional because it meant finally having some place in the industry. But even for groups like 2ne1, blackpink, twice, miss a, groups who got #1 early on, itâs still really emotional, itâs a sign that the training has paid off. Especially for Twice, who got their #1 on the 1 year anniversary of their survival show, where just a year ago, their fates as singers were unclear, but a year later, they got their first taste of true victory. Even f(x), their first win for 4 walls in 2015, it was really emotional, it was their first album without sulli, and they were gone for so long and disbandment rumors were everywhere, it meant alot. So no one is fucking exaggerating their emotions when they win #1, in fact, many try to suppress it, CL didnât cry when 2ne1 got #1, she felt that leaders canât cry. Victoria tried not to cry either. See, girl groups are damned if they do and damned if they donât. Being emotionless means youâre an ungrateful bitch, being emotional means youâre an attention whore. People need to stop with this attitude, and let these girl groups enjoy their successes in the industry however it may be. Whether theyâre laughing, crying, smiling, or just bowing, what gave you the right to call them a bitch based off of that action?
TWICEcoaster : LANE 1
[TO EVERYONE IN THE KPOP FANDOM, NO MATTER WHAT GROUP YOU SUPPORT]
To those of you who donât know whatâs going on, Iâd like to give a little update. tl;dr at the end. PLEASE READ THAT AT LEAST.
Recently, idol group Monsta X performed a version of Super Juniorâs Sorry Sorry in Japan that hadnât been aired by MBC. They were then scheduled to perform Sorry Sorry with a dance that they choreographed for MBC at the DMC festival, but before they were set to perform, were told that they would no longer be doing so. Without Monsta Xâs knowledge, the choreography that THEY created for the dance break was given to other groups, who then performed it.
Wonho, a member of Monsta X, mentioned it on this recent VLIVE of theirs, that they had been watching the performance and realized âOh, that dance is familiar!â None of the boys were rude about it, they complimented the groups who performed it, even going as far as saying that Monbebes (their fans) who were curious about their stages could watch the other groups and see how they performed it. They were honest with us, and let us know that they just wanted us to be aware that Monsta X performed the original choreography.
Because of this, though, news has spread across portals. Articles have been created, a hashtag has started on twitter â#MBC_ë˛ë˛ěâ (â#MBC_Offenderâ) and fans of other groups have even become aware of the situation.
We really need to stand our ground as an entire fandom through this. Iâm certain that this hasnât JUST happened to Monsta X, but has happened to so many before them. If we donât take a stand, this will continue on, and next time, it could be your favorite group who is treated unfairly and taken advantage of.
Iâd like to ask that you spread this around and create awareness about this, no matter what group you support. Monsta X has such a small group of fans, but imagine if this had been done to the group you support. Itâs a very frustrating thing, to see these young men who worked so hard be asked to create a dance and have it stolen from them and used elsewhere without credit.
Whether you follow them or not, it took a lot of courage to come out and say something, and we canât let this be swept under the rug. They made the first step in shedding light on the unfairness, and because of this, we canât allow them to be ignored. They didnât do this just for themselves. Them bringing attention to this issue can very well prevent the mistreatment of future groups, big or small, and we should take advantage of this and help stop this.
To help support, what we can do is make use of the hashtag â#MBC_ë˛ë˛ěâ on twitter and direct it at @withMBC. PLEASE be respectful in what you say, though, and do not speak in a way that could reflect badly on any group. This is the fault of none other than MBC.
Please do not let this be swept under the rug. This isnât just about one small groupâthis is so much bigger than what it may seem.
tl;dr: MBC took choreography from Monsta X after refusing to air their performance of the original dance, gave it to other groups to perform, and did not credit Monsta X for the choreography that THEY CREATED. Monsta X has spoken up about this, letting people know, and we, the K-Pop fandom as a whole, should not let this be swept under the rug to prevent the future mistreatment of any and ALL other groups, because this is most likely NOT the first time this has happened. It could have happened to the very group that you support, even.
To help, tweet @withMBC with the hashtag â#MBC_ë˛ë˛ěâ PLEASE be respectful in what you say, though, and do not speak in a way that could reflect badly on any group. This is the fault of none other than MBC.
Letâs raise awareness to prevent the mistreatment of all groups by big companies.

âBeauty is not long hair, skinny legs, tanned skin or perfect teeth. Believe me. Beauty is the face of who cried and now smiles, beauty is the scar on your knee since you fell when you were a kid, beauty is the circles when love doesnât let you sleep, beauty is the expression on the face when the alarm rings in the morning, itâs the melted makeup when you have a shower, itâs the laughter when you make a joke youâre the only one who can understand, beauty is meeting his gaze and stopping understanding, beauty is your gaze when you see him, itâs when you cry for all you paranoias, beauty is the lines marked by time. Beauty is what we feel in the inside which also shows outside us. Beauty is the marks the life leaves on us, all the kicks and the caresses the memories leave us. Beauty is letting yourself live.â - Emma Watson
