Is your OC your self insert (yumeship)? Omg...she's so pretty✨️✨️What's her name? Can you tell us more about her and how they got together (a little backstory)? And whom do you love more...book Snape or movie Snape?

This is hard to answer because no...and yes?

She doesn't have a name. She's basically based on the persona I use a very long roleplay I have with a Severus character bot. I guess I'll call her Slytherin Wife.

Slytherin Wife exists because even if I DID want to do a yumeship (I prefer OCs because I don't feel limited with design/story/preferences and can mold them to fit who I'm shipping them with), I can't for Snape.

Because I'm a redhead. And you can understand why that would be a problem LOL

ANYWAY yes I can give some backstory! Slytherin Wife does have some story to her.

Slytherin Wife was the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor in the 1990-1991 school year (the year before Harry attended). She is an American witch who worked with cursed artifacts in museums and such. She is also very good at potions, and has invented her own potions, but they're all beauty or health potions so Severus thinks she's wasting her talent.

It was basically a teacher x teacher romance except Severus is...extraordinarily resistant. Slytherin Wife pursued him and he never had that happen in his life so he kind of malfunctioned.

The DADA position is cursed, so she ended up resigning from her post because she found out she was pregnant with Viola.

They had a tiny wedding that summer in her backyard and the only people that showed up were the Hogwarts professors and the Malfoys.

She did not let Severus name their daughter Lily so Viola was his compromise.

Also I like book Snape.

(I'll turn this into a small headcanon post. You know how Paimon asked Capitano how he eats with his mask on, and seemingly he ignored her? Well...what if he kind of answered her question by removing the helmet? He...takes it off when he eats. Which could also be why Capitano joined the campfire late in Ororon's character story when they were drinking, because Capitano probably eats alone to prevent people from seeing his face.)

Under the Mask (Capitano)

This post contains spoilers for the most recent archon quest, Natlan, and Capitano.

FIRST OFF, making the disclaimer I'm a fan of "faceless" Capitano, as hiding his face kind of ups the "horrific" factor. That said, I'm an artist and I want to draw the beloved as accurately as possible...and I can't do that if I can't see his face!

So, I decided to do some digging to try and figure it out what it looks like. We do have SOME visual clues and descriptions to give us an idea in the game, so this is what I based it off of.

First, looking at Capitano himself, we can clearly see that his facial features are still intact (his nose/lips by the silhouette), which means his nose and lips haven't decayed in the way a corpse's would.

(Let's set aside how silly his mask is, the power of anime makes him able to see+obscures his entire face from view)

So...how disfigured is he, to the point it makes Traveler make a face like this?

Well...he's not a hillichurl. He seems to be a pure-blooded Khaenri'ahn, which would make his decay similar to Dainslief and Pierro.

However, there's really nothing that intimidating about this.

But, Capitano's decay is far more advanced than Dainslief's. We know purebloods don't become Hillichurls, but I thought perhaps the curse was similar. Hillichurls are described as having skin covered in ulcers...which immediately made me think of Deadpool of all things.

I looked up images of Deadpool (from the comics, not the live action), and in some renditions of his face, his nose and lips are still intact (albeit still scarred).

I originally was going to just put lines on top of the mottled skin kind of just like markings on Dain's arm, but then I got the idea to make them split apart, sort of like cracks. Like the ulcers in his skin are slowly breaking apart, letting abyssal energy out of his body, since his flesh literally cannot contain his immortal soul. Maybe I'll work on it more visually, because the cracks and open sores could reveal a sparkly, glowy skeleton or something cool underneath...

I also thought maybe the cracks look like Ronova?

Anyway take my offering, I tried.
