Private. Selective. Mutuals only. Tashigi of One Piece. Various media based. Still working on this account. Read rules before interacting. Sword by SERE. Revamped Est. October 5th 2023.
A. I will only be tagging ships with one tag as in the 'ship name and then cw'. Tagged triggers for me are: ZoSan, Uta, Dogs, Birds, and Chain Letters. I will tag everything that is common; like clowns, blood, weapons, certain fcs, etc. Please let me know if something needs tagged.
B. ZoTash ( Zoro and Tashigi as a romantic couple ) will be on this blog. If this bothers you, please don't follow. I will be making an announcement on my thoughts in the matter soon. Also, there will be slight NamTash, LawTash, SanTash, and AceTash too.
C. If you do not interact with me ( not sending me asks, liking posts or starter calls, liking headcanons, etc ) once a week, I will be hard blocking you. I rather people be interested in my blog than just using me another follower to their ever growing list. This does not count toward non mutuals as they aren't even on my dash in the first place.
D. The best way to interact with me is through MEMES, which I post often. Especially after tumblr is destroying the thread system, this is the sure way to interact. Also, my IMS are open if needed to ask me a question or let me know something was answered.
E. I am really stressed at the moment with moving, getting a new job, and life in general. Please do not harass me in getting your thing done. I am slow but do try to get to everything in my inbox. Does not mean I am ignoring you, I am just busy.
F. Please no drama, hate, or anything else that falls into this category. I would like my space to be comfortable. Thank you for understanding. If you need to break mutuals with me, only HARD block. Soft block and unfollow doesn't work as well as HARD block does.
G. Mun does not equal Muse. I am not her and Tashigi is not me. She is not the friendliest person in the world where I am a lot nicer and chiller than her. If you are cool, I will be cool. It works both ways.
H. If these are read, please send in a passcode. 'Swords are cool' will suffice. Personals will be blocked but non mutuals will be allowed to stay, as it's okay to look from afar.

" its ... " he carries the glasses cracked in two in his hands . their fight before got a bit out of hand .
" we'll get you new ones, okay ? "
She's pouting AGAIN. How he managed to break a pair of glasses but never once attack her seriously. Was the pirate hunter cursed to break anything that dealt with eyesight? Or did Zoro just want Tashigi to be bad at directions like he was. More like solidarity? Well, jokes on him, she can see. It's just a little blurry. Maybe having her glasses break so Zoro seemed distorted was a good thing. Out of sight, out of mind as they say.
"Don't bother. You would just break those too! Do you hate the color red or something? Should I wear some so that you take me seriously? I could tell that you were holding back".
She crosses her arms and shoots Roronoa a look. One that Tashigi is sure that will put the point across. Well, she hopes anyways.
@kaizokugaris said: Send 💞 and my muse will say something nice about your muse.
"Your earrings are nice I guess. Reminds me of the swords you carry a little bit. And I suppose you haven't hurt the any of your current Meito katanas that much. I would point out Yubashiri but that wasn't your fault and that person has been dealt with by me PERSONALLY".
What does she mean by that? Not like Tashigi is going to spill what happened. Anyways, this should be enough right? And technically these weren't about Zoro himself so the marine dodged a bullet on that too.
Okay, they were compliments but probably would fly under anyone's heads unless they knew what to look for. Tashigi gives Zoro a week to figure it out.
Tashigi didn't have any friends growing up. Either because her father was and still is an intimidating man and scared any potential friends for his daughter or that they didn't like Tashigi either for her appearance or her personality. Those two had affected Tashigi's platonic relationships throughout her childhood until she turned 21.
Personally, since they were somewhat cordial in the sword shop that Tashigi might had considered Zoro to be her first friend since his hobbies lined up with her own. It's not until the fight in the alley where she finds out that Zoro was just playing along, somewhat making fun of her obliviousness to who he actually was. Clearly hurt, the almost friendship had broke already and it wasn't because of their professions.
It hurts me to think that her attempt to finally have a friend ended in failure, just like with everything else. But some other type of relationship, either rival or romantic was still there, so that counted for something. Tashigi gained another goal to hunt him around the globe and Zoro gained something that he couldn't and wouldn't cut down.
In all, her friendships that she choose to pursue during R/Loguetown and beyond are complicated to say the least.
I am not sure what Luffy likes about Tashigi ( as we know that Luffy likes Smoker ) but he's mostly always asking her to join his crew. Perhaps it's because Zoro or Brook might need a sword buddy or that Nami and Sanji had hit it off with her during Punk Hazard.
It would be funny if he found her cool but I think it's really because she has a dream like the rest of them. Is it attainable? Not likely but the captain loves people who don't give up, no matter the circumstances and Tashigi fits this to a T. So yeah, that's my take on the whole thing.
Poor Tashigi has to politely decline every time unless the circumstances change or Zoro is seen to be flying in the sky.

The truth is bulletproof. There is no fooling you.
I don't dress the same. Me and who you say I was yesterday.
Have gone our separate ways. Left my life living fast somewhere in the past.
Cause that's for chasing boats. Turns out open bars leave to broken hearts. And going way too far.
I know I used to be crazy. You say that I used to be wild. I say I used to be young.
You tell me time has done changed me. That's fine, I had a good run.
I know I used to be crazy. That's because I used to be young.
Take one, pour it out, it's not worth crying about. The things you cannot erase. Like scars and regrets, words never meant. And ones that got away.
Left my life living fast somewhere in the past. And took another road. Turns out crowded rooms empty out as soon. There's somewhere else to go.
I know I used to be crazy. You say that I used to be wild. I say I used to be young. You tell me time has done changed me. That's fine, I had a good run. I know I used to be crazy. That's because I used to be young.
I know I used to be crazy. Messed up, but, God, was it fun.
I know that I used to be wild. That's because I used to be young.
Those wasted nights are not wasted. I remember every one.
I know I used to be crazy. That's because I used to be young.
You tell me time has done changed me. That's fine, I had a good run.
I know I used to be crazy. That's because I used to be young.
Listening to Roronoa actually was the wisest decision Tashigi ever made. The option was given to her to take so why not run with it? She did the same when someone important in her life told her to collect swords that were crying instead of trying to give that person a hug.
That one road she chose gave her a goal and hobby, although to everyone else's detriment. Sure now it had hurt Tashigi's soul to give up the things she held dear before all of this but now her wings were free to flap into the sky above. No longer chained down by honor, justice, the way of the sword.
Things change with time, when anyone is prepared or not. The captain's goals and personality were part of those grand designs. Not only did her dream change to opening up a dojo and train others but also becoming more of a mentor to the younger generation when she turned 26.
Now 28, she was an established and well credited name where she decided to settle down. All the islanders treated her with respect, kindness, and equality that the woman deserved during her younger years. Tashigi bets that the child, young teenager, and young adult version would be absolutely floored on how much progress older her had made for herself.
Sure, she didn't have her old swords anymore but the marine had found some in the abandoned dojo that she decided to purchase on a whim using the funds of the World Government that she borrowed. It's not like they were going to use it for anything worthwhile. They got more out of the citizens than what Tashigi had took so it was all good.
Tashigi did worry about the children from Punk Hazard but the parents of the kids were nice enough to throw rocks and insults at her before finding this place. Which was completely understandable. She did run away from everything after all. Past her would be screaming, fighting, and tearing present Tashigi apart. However, the truth never lies.
This was her life now and nothing was going to change that. Not even Roronoa. Why he showed up now after 5 years was beyond her but she was going to treat him like a friend regardless. Their cat and mouse game ended with her leaving like she did. Not even saying a goodbye. Like that lunkhead would care anyway. Why should she?
Indifference was really a saving grace for both of them. So why show up at the island at all? Why ask to see her in the dojo training, where she's not as well kept as usual. Messy hair, cleavage showing, sweatpants dropping a little towards the floor, barefooted. Basically a hot mess. At least her glasses were still on the top of her head. A different look and feel for sure.
She finds Roronoa walking around aimlessly, still clueless with directions and still looking like he did since Punk Hazard. Tashigi coughs in her hand awkwardly and thankfully the pirate hunter is able to pick up on that. It's then when his jaw drops to the floor in disbelief and cheeks flushed red for some reason.
What in the world is wrong now? After all these years, the man is still trying to pick a fight and push her buttons. Sure, Tashigi seemed different and somewhat traded in sword styles for more of a punch fist like attack coated with different types of haki but nothing else was out of place so why? Nope. Just got to calm down and will herself back into a place of blissful happiness.
The marine smiled back, trying to show there was nothing wrong with the woman in front of Roronoa and this was who she truly was all this time. Pirate hunter on the other hand was reaching for Sandai and Enma and shifted his expression to a more comical one. Then laughing, Zoro shook his head, almost glad about something.
Like not being crazy and that a version of Tashigi with her literal hair down did exist. He was juggling around each of the two swords, squinting at them like they were fucking his mind or something. The marine could only smile back, as things never seemed to change with that green haired man, not even time could make this less than THE Roronoa Zoro getting the last laugh.
Which was fine. Tashigi didn't care about winning or losing anymore. Indifference was not going to let her down now. The pirate hunter then looked up and mouthed something. Like how Tashigi had changed. More weary eyed and will-less. The marine laughed, copying his silent mouth movements. Saying that it was fine and that she had a good run.
Zoro is then taken aback from her admission. Like he had lost a round or two. Which was funny because Tashigi wasn't taking score like she used to. Back then, she was wild. Crazy even. That's because she USED TO BE YOUNG.

PHANTOM PAIN
I'm searching for a whole new beginning
An endless void
This notion that I sense within me
You're still by my side
Oh, I feel your presence
You'll never leave here
But if I reach out there to hold you
Every part that's real disappears
As I become more present now
I can't see through the pain
A hollow cut through my veins
(the phantom takes his toll)
The days that just keep on coming
The stain that they leave
*I wish I could break this casket
But I'm left here to grieve
In a world of my own design
As I become more present now
I can't see through the pain
A hollow cut through my veins
(the shadows take their toll)
And did you leave me anything?
You're the phantom of my past…
Do you expect me to last, this way?
(a scar and a phantom pain)
For once, Zoro wish Tashigi would just listen to him. Finally reaching a breaking point, the marine captain did just that and left, not telling anyone where she was going. Just took up her four swords and let go of her dream just like that. Sometimes people can't follow them.
Sighing in relief that he didn't realize it was coming from him, Zoro thought he was finally rid of the annoyance known as Captain Glasses but this wasn't the last time the pirate hunter would have Tashigi in his life.
The nights when he left Wado to rest and either held Sandai or Enma in his hands is when SHE came. Red glasses, purple solid shirt with a few flowers stuck to the clothing randomly, medium long black hair that wasn't tied up like usual.
He could never see below a certain point but was sure there was blue faded jeans and pink boots on her feet. All that was missing was her pink captain's coat. Good thing. Zoro really never liked that jacket. Reminded him that Tashigi was part of the marines.
Hated the corrupt system, not her. She was one of the only hopes in that place and if she did leave, all that light would be lost. Now is lost. Zoro thinks bitterly to himself. Tashigi had been the only thing holding the monsters at bay.
Pay for his actions was one thing but Zoro didn't mean to have this happen to innocent civilians that the marine captain was sworn to protect. His guilt over his choices is what probably made Tashigi manifest to him this way.
If the pirate hunter was known as the king of hell, then the marine was the queen of grudges. Attaching her spirit to Zoro, even in death. Ghost Tashigi or SHI for short as he didn't believe this to be Tashigi or Kuina. Perhaps this was the spirit of either Sandai or Emna. Both swords were known to be problem children, just like a certain marine.
Didn't matter. SHI always draped herself around him proactively, a far cry in what Tashigi used to always be in his presence. Even being carried by him caused the marine so much stress at being held by an opposite sex. But SHI, oh no. There was no such thing as shame or modesty.
Either way, Zoro didn't care. More like he didn't mind. Just SHI being there calmed and relaxed him like no other. Not even the other mind mirages his head conjured up. And he says he isn't like the Ero Cook. He's much worse if he's appreciating a figment of his mind. First time he thought with his fourth sword.
But dammit, the ghost was so persuasive. Like her talons had hooked in his flesh and soul, leaving a mark that would never fade away. Not even time or promises could distract him from SHI. The power, swords, fame, having a beautiful woman by his side, everything was so perfect.
Screw being the King of Hell or THE GREASTEST SWORDSMAN, he was the fucking 'King of Delusions'. All thanks to Tashigi, who finally let go and conceded defeat. Zoro felt bad for the sore loser because the girl really was something special, to him anyway. Probably why he has a ghost version of herself whispering in his ear.
Telling him to 'Act like a pirate like I always know you were, 'Take this fight seriously, don't listen to Mihawk' 'I see you are using MY sword that was supposed to be mine, how quaint', 'No one else is here. It's just you and me', 'I may change my appearance several times but the copycat wounds always find me, don't they?', and his personal favorite 'RORONOA, I will always be a part of you, no matter what happens or if all three of my own swords break. You still have them don't you?.
Of course, Zoro has all of the swords that Tashigi had collected, even those the pirate hunter had no clue she had. Which included; Kashu, Yamaoroshi, and Shodai Kitetsu, in itself was a cursed sword with a whole can of worms that Zoro himself didn't want to think about at this time. As if the attractive and distractive ghost woman wasn't enough.
Although, SHI had lost some of her more kind attributes, the ghost still let Zoro drink booze, nap, and other things he enjoyed. As much as she weighted him down with thoughts of cruelty, she also gave him the freedom to enjoy life to it's fullest instead of being dragged down by friends and promises.
Zoro is mostly glad that a little part of Tashigi is still with him after everything. Even if she disappears to who knows where, the marine woman is still his Phantom Pain.

It's Raining Somewhere Else
"Says a man who failed to get himself out of a hole on the first try". It's raining like the sky itself is weeping for a bond lost and this wasn't supposed to happen. On the opposite sides of the battlefield. One a pirate hunter turned pirate and the other a face from the past turned into a mere copycat marine.
They had met on the marine's day off. An unlucky coincidence. Star crossed in the worse sense. Could had been friends. Might had sailed as hunters of the unjust. Things don't always work out however. Some can never follow their dreams. They told his captain that all the time.
"What matters is that I got out. You wouldn't have lasted even one second in there glasses. And stop saying what she would had said!".
She probably would had gotten out on the first try thanks to the pure undulated rage that the marine was seething towards the pirate hunter. The only kind you could find in only a few men or women in her case. Kuina never was this vindictive but that's a given. Zoro himself never really did mock or belittle her like the marine in front of him. The pirate hunter blames her profession as being the soldiers of cruelty. A weak paper thin thing to make an excuse upon. Really? Stooping this low? Her pettiness was rubbing off on him and Zoro hates it.
"Me? Taking on a personality of others? You lying cad!! How dare you accuse me of stealing things. Pirate! I'm my own person, now and until I face my end at the sharp edge of a blade!"
Veins visible on his forehead appear on their own in a comical fashion, like they responded too honestly from his emotions that were spiking in intensity. Okay that did it. No more mister nice guy. Time to finish this fight once and for all. Her skill of drawing her blade much faster than himself was impressive but it was no match for his more experience in more brutal of fights. The marine's blade, which his captain had called 'Skiing' like the Straw Hat teen had also called his own sword 'something Itchy something Monkey' falls from her hand and onto the soaked ground below.
"Your loss. Now get out of here before I change my mind. Never show your face to me again Copycat".
Although, she can't really get away as he keeps her stuck between himself and the wall as the others in her squad look on in awe, like they are seeing something more risqué than just a battle being over. There's the scent of the faint smell of cherry blossoms coming off from the marine. Plus, the familiar one of steel that both have because of the ways of the samurai both had taken at an early age. Tashigi focuses on the closeness of the pirate hunter's earrings, finding more courage to say the line that might change them forever.
"Like I will you filthy liar! Cheater. If you feel that way, finish me. I don't deserve this blade or my life. Kill me and just get on with it.".
Those words. Spoken so long ago by Zoro himself to Kuina. Why is the marine parroting his words too now? It hurts his head and the pirate hunter doesn't want anything to do with this annoying woman who helped him not get the Wado Ichimonji sold for a cheap price to that crook in the sword shop. The way she smiled like a child on Christmas on holding it in her hands with loving care unlike the unworthy ones who just saw a tool to cut rather than someone's soul and chattering away about her interesting hobby of loving blades. Zoro even remembers the way his heart thumped in his chest when the pirate hunter saw the woman for the first time.
And no, it's not because she looked like Kuina. She was pretty in a traditional sort of way despite her awful taste in blouses. He's not sure how to feel about that, her. Any of this. Even her sword that she carried was, how did someone put it into words….cute? Gah! This is stupid. Luffy needed him right this second. No time for distractions. Can't, won't. Not on his dreams or in them. That one time when he got roped in with her schemes of getting him a job by working for the marines and moping the floors with three of them in hand because of said oxymoron situation, didn't happen. Nope. Not gonna remember that. Focus!
"No. You look too much like the one I made a promise to all those years ago. A friend who died. I can't do this, I won't do this and I am wasting time". It's simple and he leaves, letting the marine defend for herself, not looking back. Zoro has said too much. Not even his crew knew about his past. Sure he had a friend, however, Zoro didn't say who that was in passing. But unlike with Kuina, this woman doesn't let sleeping sharks lie. Oh no. This was quite the opposite.
The fury is not quelled, it's only ignited into the flames of hatred, shame, and vengeance. To chase the pirate hunter turned pirate to the ends of the earth. As the green haired swordsman runs away to help his captain, the words to meet again as bitter enemies to something more escape the lips of the defeat scorned not taken seriously woman with the bespectacled face says,
"I, Dracule Tashigi, promise to fight, train and kick your butt for as long as I live. Roronoa Zoro".
Somewhere in the distant Grand Line, a small miniscule sneeze can be heard, waking a man from his peaceful and relaxing slumber. Someone was talking about his last name, but who? The last person who dared say the words 'Dracule' was a mockery of the way of the sword. Estranged.
Someone who was only a memory. Before anyone called him the greatest swordsman. Only a babe when Gol D. Roger was executed. The one who foolishly believed his lie about the swords crying out and collecting them so that they would leave him alone for the day. Reason why he joined the warlords in the first place as marines had used blackmail of the worse kind on someone as powerful as him. A disgusting weakness.
"So you are still alive. The Grace with still no Power. My foolish stubborn daughter. Living in my shadow since forevermore. Tashigi".
