Relax
"Where is May?" he asked Daisy and Mack.
Since he had returned from his mission, he searched for her, but found her nowhere.
"We are looking for her too. The last thing she had said was that she needed to relax. She's been gone for over two hours," Daisy said and began to think about where her SO could be.
A smile crept across his face.
"It's okay Daisy, I know where she is. I will tell her later that you are looking for her," he turned and went to his quarters.
What he knew in any case was that it was an advantage to be a director, that he had his own bathroom with bathtub. What he still knew was that there were only two things she could relax in. The first thing was exercise, the second was to take a nice hot and long bath.
On an undercover mission they were once a married couple. It was a hot evening with a cool wind. She had laughed and danced so much that day that she had sweated and got a train. Since she was almost unable to move when they went back to her room that night, he made her a nice hot tub in which she slept almost all night. Later she said that the bath made her more relaxed like exercising and having sex together.
When he was finally in his quarters, he lay down on his bed and started to read through some reports. ================ She came humming out of his bathroom, dancing to the beat in her headphones and occasionally singing until she saw him. The glass in which the bath salts, which smelled all over the place, was poured out onto the floor. She stared at him.
"What? You really think I wouldn't know that you occasionally bathe in my bathtub? The bath smells of that salt for days," he smiled at her, but she still couldn't move, let alone get a sensible word out of her mouth.
"Daisy's been looking for you for the last 4 hours, so you should wear proper clothes when you leave here, unless you ask nicely, lie down next to me and relax for another hour. Your choice," she wanted to wipe that grin off his face, but she knew it would be better if she just lay down next to him now and see what his reaction was. ==================== She stared at his chest the whole time.
He put the files away, lowered himself to her level, and looked into her eyes.
"Is it really that bad? I thought you might want to tell me why you're so tense, but you...", she put her lips on his, lay down on him.
After what felt like an eternity, but still not long enough, she pushed herself up again and looked at him.
"I am so tense because I love you. No matter when you are there, touching my body or just talking, it happens. I don't want to hang up, not when I'm not with you, to save your ass if you get into another disaster. I...", his unreadable expression turned into a happy smile. His index finger lay on her lips, just briefly to silence her.
"I love you, too. I didn't believe you could feel the same way anymore, because this date back then, I really wanted that," he looked away. "But you had others and our friendship was more important to me than the need to kiss you or lie in bed with you, to fall asleep like that. If you want a real relationship too, then we'll do this," she smiled at him.
"Yes, yes, I want that. With you," her lips were open again. =================
Bonus:
"So what took you so long, Agent May? Where were they?" Daisy asked with a grin on her face. May just looked at her neutrally and said nothing more. "All right, where is there a bathtub? You smell so good and I could use a bath too," Daisy said loudly and Bobby, Hunter and Mack looked up.
"I don't think May was taking a bath. There is only a tub in the director's room. She wouldn't have been bathing at Coulson," Hunter said. Daisy just stared at May.
"You have something going on with Coulson? That's why he talks almost exclusively to you," Daisy noted, more to herself than to anyone else. "That's great, I'm happy for you both. It's about time," Daisy May suddenly hugged...
