being a shifter is so weird because tell me why this lovely old lady is talking to me about how she was in college and the only phone they had was one for her entire dorm floor and I have to bite my tongue so I don't say something stupid like 'omg that's not as bed as when I was in 1855 england and the only communication is letters and mail'

Having come out of the "My DRs are basically fanfiction" phase into "My DRs are real" phase is fun because now I get to go back through all my scripts and fix shit that I don't like anymore. Dunno if anyone else relates to that, but I think it's a great time!

''Just shift,'' but it's like expecting a dog to sit without ever teaching it what the command means. It's not like the dog cannot sit, it does it all the time, every single day, but if it has never related the word ''sit'' to the action, then how is it supposed to know.

Some figure it out really quickly, some don't, and like shifting, it's often harder to teach a trick to a dog who has already been shaped by its surroundings.

Doing it is not the issue, the issue is doing it when you expect it. It has no use telling someone to ''just shift,'' when they haven't ever done it before, all it will do is cause frustration

how do you actually assume you’re in ur dr? i’m sorry if this sounds stupid

this doesn’t sound stupid at all!! in fact, it’s a really important question

feeling unsure makes total sense, especially when you’ve spent your entire life assuming you’re not in your desired reality. shifting that mindset takes intention and practice. law of assumption is about living from the state of the wish fulfilled. it means thinking, feeling, and being as though your dr is already yours - because it is.

so how do you actually do that?

you begin by letting go of the idea that it’s far away. your dr isn’t something you have to earn, wait for, or reach. it exists now, and your job is to claim it. that means:

thinking as your dr self: what would you believe about yourself if you were already living in your dr? what would you stop worrying about?

hint: you wouldn’t be worrying about shifting to your dr

feeling as your dr self: embrace the emotions you’d feel if you knew you were in your dr. e.g. relief, joy, peace, confidence.

living as your dr self: start making choices from the version of you who already has what they desire, even in small, symbolic ways.

the assumption becomes natural over time, especially when you remind yourself that your current experience is not permanent - it’s simply a reflection of past assumptions. when you shift your assumption, reality has to conform.

it’s not about forcing or pretending, it’s about gently and consistently aligning with the truth: you are already there, you are your dr self.

you’re not actually shifting yourself anywhere. you’re simply remembering where you’ve always been. you’re shifting your perspective, if you’d like.

that’s why people often say that you’re already in your dr. because you are! the scenarios you think of aren’t just made up, they’re memories from another version of you, which means you’re way more connected to your reality than you think.

when you add something to your script, you’re remembering how things are. when you shift, you’re remembering what is already yours, because you’re already there.

how are you already there? because you can imagine being there. that’s not daydreaming. that’s you remembering.

i personally think a lot of shifters are too focused on what makes them shift then their dr and the shift its self.

once your accept your already in your dr and stop trying to reach there, you will get there physically in my opinion.

it only took three years but my sister is finally trying to shift! she seems so excited about it and it reminds me of when I first learned about shifting back in 2020. I think I need to find that spark and excitement again
