i see a lot of debate over dabi's "i don't care about the league" line, and whether it's true or not. and i will raise you: it doesn't matter as much as you think it did. dabi in some part must have believed that his own words were true (you don't tend to lie to people you're about to kill about something like that). but also, even if everything dabi did was to further his own interests, it still made the league feel cared for. he gave a pep talk to a dying twice. he gave toga twice's blood and burned her old house down. and the league still supported him, the way he never was supported before. so even if there wasn't any "care", there was still care. we tend to think of things as "you either like someone or you hate them or you're apathetic". but people are more complicated than that. you can be apathetic towards something that makes you happy (i never seek out or even think about apples, but i'm happy every time i eat one). you can not care about someone and still make them feel loved. you can not care about someone and still be loved by them. emotions are messy and difficult to understand. and i think dabi thinks a lot of love as being like obsession, since that's how he felt before. but you don't have to be obsessed with something or someone to like them.

These people have THE EXACT SAME MINDSET that villains were oppressed by and pushed them toward a life of crime in the first place.

When you tell them this, they will instantly attack you for criticizing people who save others' lives..

The problem isn't supporting heroes. The problem is idolizing heroes because when you idolize them, you are forced to see them as authority figures that coerce rules, standards, biased morals, and a bystander effect.

You need to mature and understand that villain stans are criticizing the system and its setup (like the Commission), not the people involved and dragged in it (aka ppl like Hawks and Lady Nagant)
