Look….I don’t wanna be that person because this was supposed to be an izuocha chapter and is so wonderfully is…..but Hori just couldn’t resist sprinkling in some bakudeku for flavor, he needs to try harder to hide it.

Can we talk about how meaningful it is that Bakugou apologized to Deku in front of his entire class. I know that most bkdks we hoping for a one-on-one conversation but I think the audience makes his apology seem all that more powerful. Not to gain some sort of gratitude from his class mates but to show this sort of vulnerability in front of other people (who are not Deku) is impeccable growth. He’s such a guarded person and his prior arrogance was mainly displayed outwardly and thrived off of others telling him how great he is. Now it’s almost like he’s disregarded how others will see him if he is vulnerable, his thought process has changed and it’s no longer vulnerability is weakness and I must hide it in order to be number 1. Katsuki’s inability to be vulnerable is what caused the drift between them in the first place. He didn’t like that Izuku saw him as someone capable of vulnerability, he thought that because Izuku saw him as such he was actually looking down on him. Now he is displaying this vulnerability in front of a large group of people without care of how this may make them think he is weak, this is because he no longer sees other people helping him as lacking of his own abilities. I honestly love his character development so much.

Plus it’s not even done yet since we never got Izuku’s reaction. He’s so caught up with others perception of him and how he makes others feel both physically and mentally that he is too exhausted to even receive an apology. I’m not sure if Izuku is even able or comprehend it at this point since he completely brush it aside in order to apologize for what he said in a fit of frustration.

I’m not sure why everyone is dismissing “katsuki completes Izuku”

I feel that it still stands especially considering that this is regarding taking Izuku’s hand which is a huge part of their narrative. All I’m getting from Katsuki not being able to take Izuku’s hand is that he feels that he has not yet deserved it, he hasn’t yet deserved completing Izuku Midoriya. Miscommunication also stands to be a big part of their relationship because even though Katsuki knows Izuku best he has a hard time understanding him.

I want to point out that the it is said that the people who complete Izuku are the ones that fight beside him. This is extremely prevalent in the Hero’s Rising movie (which was supposed to be the og ending of MHA)where bkdk fight together and complete each other. It’s also kinda suspicious that Bakugou is the only one shone when the whole thing was mentioned in the first place.

I will admit that this is seen with shipper goggles however I still believe that their relationship is special and will be a big part of the ending.

Anyway I wanted to say that there is no real solution here. I think it would be better if they just joined Izuku although that seems like overkill. Him fighting all by himself and carrying this burden in his lonesome is damaging yes but at least he feels as though he is doing his part with the responsibility that was given to him. Let me preface by saying that this was a responsibility he shouldn’t have been given in the first place and he is far too young to be placed in the position he is in now. However going back to UA will be just as detrimental to his mental health and perhaps even his physical health. So let’s say he does go back to UA, he will be ridden with overwhelming guilt because he believes that as the holder of OFA, AFO is his problem, he will probably try to escape as soon as he gets the chance which will hurt him even more to do so the second time and if they chase him again it will hurt to do so the third time. I think it would be wise to let him continue as he is now except have some of the other students accompany him perhaps in rotations.

And while I am a tiny bit biased, as the 2nd said

Katsuki completes Izuku, so maybe having them stick together would also prove to be better for his well-being.

Ok so I’m gonna start college next year and I wanna be a creative writing major. And as practice I wanna write a slow burn unrequited bkdk fic.

So I was thinking ql Deku and ph Bakugou. Deku is a doctor has been in a long term relationship with Ochako. Ochako finally introduces her Boyfriend to Class A and Katsuki is surprised to see his childhood best friend and past victim. However Izuku doesn’t remember him at all.

Or we can have it the other way around where Katsuki doesn’t remember Izuku but slowly ends up falling in love with him. And then his memories come back and he’s distraught.

Thoughts, is this a desirable plot that you would be willing to read?

I find it really intriguing that the predecessors in OFA seem to like Bakugou but he himself isn’t all that fond of the quirk because of the strain it puts on Deku. While he doesn’t know of the predecessors approval of him, he views OFA and subsequently the predecessors themselves as a curse that will lead to the demise of someone he loves.

And I think that that, is a weirdly poetic way to portray his relationship to something he embodies: power. OFA is one of the most powerful quirks, even more powerful than Katsuki’s own quirk. Katsuki is deemed susceptible by those who make up this power and yet he rejects them because of how this power hurts Deku. It’s almost like he’s placing Deku above his (the hero’s) need to be the best.

I find it really interesting that dudebros have the gall to talk to me when they clearly lack functioning brain cells and yet think the world about themselves because they have the ability to loosely comprehend pictures that they deem socially acceptable which apparently constitutes straightness and completely ignore when characters are romantically coded because they happen to be the same gender.

They will literally compare a gay ship to a pedophilic ship and I will ask them about their opinions on Snow White or literally any of the early Disney princesses with their respective prince who more often than not tend to be at least 10 years older than said princess and they will be like “yea it makes sense”

Must you really project yourself on to a fictional character in order to feel the lingering effect of female attention.

How do these animanga elitists think they are smarter then me because they ship izuocha while I ship bakudeku. If they had the brain capacity to see and care about good writing then they would understand how having Ochako grow as a hero is better for her character arc. While having bakugou stick by Deku’s side is better for his.

Ppl think it’s uncharacteristic of Deku to give up. But it makes a lot of sense once you think about it. The assassin is there for Deku and is not hurting the civilians and once Deku surrenders and is demobilized, Dictator has no more reason to hold those civilians essentially hostage. Once he is taken per say, the civilians are safe and the only price he has to pay is himself. Izuku giving up further shows his self sacrificial nature and makes perfect sense for his character.
