Hello, friends!

You may know me as ellerean/tellius*. I've been around these parts longer than I'd like to admit.

*I refer to myself as quasi in tags, in reference to an old handle not used anymore.

Here you'll find my very specific Fire Emblem interests, including wyvern riders (mostly those from Talrega), mages, and "old" characters I am probably other than now. Sometimes I play other strategy games as well.

I write fics on occasion and also recommend fics by others. I also talk about writing a lot. Sometimes I'll post WIPs and deleted scenes when the mood strikes.

listen to me, this is so so important: you've gotta get used to really giving it your 60% as a default. like don't half-ass it necessarily but try not to go over 70% or so of an ass. you'll feel better and live a happier more fulfilled life, and on the rare occasions where you do need to lock the fuck in you'll be able to pull off bullshit that the sad miserable wretches giving it their 100% can never dream off, because they're busy draining themselves dry and you have energy reserves to spare.

I'm having the worst time trying to write part IV of this fic.

(spoilers below, but not really, because I'm literally talking about in-game events)

I don't want to talk about in-game events. It's not interesting to rehash PoR, but also... I need to. Haar and Jill are finally in the same place at the same time, and character development depends on it.

I've tried just summarizing it. But you can't summarize mourning your father. I considered doing a time skip, but it would be a real shame to skip over half of PoR. I know I'll figure it out. But where to start is a struggle, and I don't like anything I've come up with so far.

What I really want is both Haar's and Jill's POV during the same time period. But I have to pick one, and I've spent more time than I intended on Haar already. It's Jill's turn to think about what they're doing, and reconcile the conflict within her, and make her the true star of this epic.

honestly one of my favorite things about fanfic is when you can see the canon influences come out in really subtle ways. like a canon line thats mentioned once as a throwaway is suddenly the entire premise for a fic or it influences the characterization or something. its just so cool to see how people weave their ideas around a source material, especially if its not a detail i'd thought about before
