Hello, everyone. I am bringing your attention to a gofundme that is still low on funds. Currently it sits at 473/30,000. I have been contacted by a young woman by the name of Shimaa ( @shimo20 is her blog here on tumblr) she is one of the many people within and outside of Palestine that have been displaced. She has lost to her home to the point where she can't even see it as her home anymore, and she and her family are trying to cross the border to get to safety and she really needs our help. I have seen so many gofundmes get close to their goal if not meet their goal and help their owners get the help they need. But they need the help to get there. I know this one is still relatively new, which is why I am posting to help her in hopes that she can get the help she needs for her and her family. She has spoken to me about how l, this isn't something she had ever imagined she'd have to do but what has happened to her home and her country has changed things in ways no one could imagine. I am Shimaa, a 20-year-old university student from Gaza. The war has devastated my life and brought it to its worst state. My home was destroyed, and we are now living in a tent, after the farm that was our family's only source of income was obliterated.

My mother works tirelessly to bake and sell bread to secure our daily sustenance amidst harsh conditions and soaring prices, but this is still not enough to meet our basic needs. Our dreams have been shattered, and everything has become incredibly difficult🥺

In these circumstances, I am facing severe challenges in continuing my university studies. The war has halted my academic progress, making it extremely difficult to pursue my education. Therefore, I have created a donation link to help me overcome this crisis and continue my life with dignity.

In this tent, which has become the center of our daily suffering, we find ourselves trapped in a place unfit for human habitation. Its flimsy walls let in the scorching rays of the sun, turning the interior into a desert of unbearable heat. Here, comfort seems to vanish, and any hope for a dignified life fades away.

The poor ventilation makes every breath a struggle, while the thin coverings we use offer little protection against the extreme temperatures. Inside, every part of the tent echoes our ongoing hardship; surfaces sweat, and the ground feels hot and uncomfortable.

In this harsh reality, igniting a fire and cooking on it becomes a grueling and painful task. Finding firewood amid the surrounding devastation adds another layer of difficulty, as each piece of wood we find seems to carry with it remnants and memories of the war. Every attempt to light the fire faces severe resistance, with the sparks that fly into the air reflecting our continuous battle against the surrounding conditions.

Each meal prepared over this fire requires extra effort, and every dish of food represents more than just sustenance; it symbolizes our resilience and determination to survive despite all challenges. Yet, as this suffering continues, we are in desperate need of your support. and I lived a peaceful life with my family in our modest home in Gaza, where days passed in tranquility and security. But one dark night, our lives changed suddenly. Our home, which was our refuge and dreams, was bombed and turned into rubble. In an instant, we lost everything.

For those that have yet to see this campaign it is for a young woman by the name of Shimaa (blog: @shimo20) she is 20 years old and a computer scientist and she and her family, like many others throughout Palestine, have lost their home and they are trying to live in conditions where they have lack of access to Healthcare, clean drinking water, access to safe and consistent meals, a roof over their heads and more. Right now I believe her campaign sits at 100 CAD out of 30,000 CAD. A little goes a long way, 5 or 10 dollar donations are helpful as well as those that are moreso 20 or 30.
