We haven't approved the US ambassador because 1. Countries sending an ambassador are supposed to check in with the receiving country and get their agreement before choosing a name, and they didn't 2. We decided not to take new ambassadors for a few months until after the election and 3. They are very clearly trying to interfere with our election right now, while they ignored the empty ambassador role for a year and a half before this
