It’s strange that the only person who is drawn detailed on this panel is that unknown person. It would have been much easier to not draw anyone there, and on top of that the person has dark hair which is also harder to draw, and the hair of this stranger is drawn in great detail. So maybe the Wall Eldians sent spies to the Marleyan continent as well, in the last 3 years.

I’m sorry but I am so sick of the “but they’re children!” “They’re only teens!” when it comes to any argument of the 104th. Yeah, they’re underage but that does not mean incompetence as a soldier needs to be coddled. Not one of them was forced to sign up. Not one of them didn’t know the dangers.  They chose to take on the responsibilities. They chose to step up and be soldiers, not children. Wall Maria fell years before they graduated and they all know that at the drop of a dime they might have gone into battle.  We’ve seen time and time again where they’re put into positions where they need to understand strategy and what to do in tight spots or verses an enemy. So next time you want to tell me Marco was “just a child” and “in shock” over friends he trusted I want you to stop and think about a couple of things. Marco didn’t fight them back. Not at all.  Marco is literally the only one who didn’t. Eren has. Mikasa has. ARMIN WHO DIDN’T EVEN MAKE IT INTO THE TOP TEN LIKE MARCO HAS. He devised strategy from the first moment he saw the female titan. I guarantee you anyone else in that situation would have not repeated or questioned it. I do not believe any of the others would have gone down like that or at least wouldn’t have set off a flare in the area or something. I don’t care if he’s your favorite and maybe he didn’t so far as deserve to die, but he messed up. He messed up where he could have put his foot down for something wrong. Naivety is no excuse when you’re in a world like that. Not one what so ever. Love him all you want but you can and should recognize his flaws and he obviously has a mountain of them. He wasn’t fit for military life at all and the ova plus his death reveal show that so very clearly. Good intentions are not a redemption. He’d have been worse off in the MP than Marlo and probably gotten worse there trying to do justice.
