Floating back in here like a grandma, but hello, Ace Attorney fandom. Thought I'd reintroduce myself and share some old work of mine with the fandom while I finish my first pieces in about 10 years.

(God, has it been that long? Look what going back into public service will do you.)

Anyway! I'm CJ; in the writing world, I go by ShiningReira. I was relatively active in the fandom back in the early 2010s, but a hectic job and crushing work hours will drag one away from everything. What brought me back? Why stress from the looming Government shutdown and planning for a wedding at the same time, of course!

I mainly dabble in Miego in AA fandom, though I've been known to dip my toes into some other (less popular) couples as well. I've mainly played just the original trilogy, but I'm planning on picking up AJ remaster on Switch in January and have Great Ace Attorney Chronicles queued up and ready to go once I finish my OG trilogy play-through. As I prepare to dip my toes back into the fandom, I thought I'd share 4 of my favorite pieces I wrote. The oldest one is about 13 years old, so unless newer fans are digging through the archives, they'll probably be new to many people!

Alone: Written in 2010 and started off an iTunes drabble prompt based on Gackt's Mizerable. It is one of my favorite drabble pieces and one that I keep coming back to and considering revising now that my writing has gotten better! Blend #102: This is another angst-filled favorite written in 2012 as a kink meme prompt fill. I was challenged by a friend to finish this with zero dialogue, and I did. Another that I continue to come back to and consider rewriting. Remain Nameless: Finally, a fun piece! Also written in 2012, this piece includes Lana and Mia being close besties and a suave Diego at a bar. Bar scenes are some of my favorite things to write; I honestly wish I had found excuses to write them more. Misty: My last piece and also one written for the kink meme in 2013. I love an excuse to have Diego dance and be good at it, and this prompt checked all my boxes. This was the last piece I ever wrote for the fandom and probably one of my favorites to date.

maya and diego…maya and diego…her sister’s new boyfriend may be a little bit weird and he may talk a little too flowery just to make himself look smart, but he lets her sneak sips of his espresso behind morgan’s back (her first time ever trying and it’s too bitter: she spits it out almost immediately and he laughs from deep down in his belly), teaches her a little spanish and grins from ear to ear when she first greets him with a ¡che, que tal!, buys her samurai comics at the train station before coming to visit with mia and won’t accept any of the quarters she’s managed to scrounge up from unassuming tourists when they accidentally let one drop to the dirt, holds her right hand (mia always has to hold her left) when she goes to the city and forces the three of them to wait in line for in-n-out (she’s heard that’s the tourist-y thing to do), picks her up and spins her round and round in a circle the way her daddy was never there to do. looks at her sister with a fondness the women of her family have never been able to relish in, a love so unconditional she could only hope to read about it in one of her old, worn storybooks, the ones she left behind with age; and, at the end of the day, that’s the only thing that really matters, isn’t it?

The fact that Furio Tigre could use a cardboard badge and a vague resemblance as means to represent someone in court is enough to convince me that Godot was not legally a prosecutor at any point in time. I’m dead convinced he just walked into the court because he heard Phoenix would be there and told the prosecutor that he was now in charge of the case, banking entirely on the fact that no one would call his bluff. They didn’t.

Edgeworth becomes chief prosecutor and finds that those cases’ court records are a disaster because Diego never filled out any of the paperwork and no one could find him to follow up because Godot isn’t his real name. He just Rasputin’d the entire court system for 6 months because no one had the courage to call him out on his bullshit

This is not even a "haha funny hc" thing, for me I unironically believe this is exactly what happened for Ace Attorney 3 Godot was not taking trials seriously AT ALL. The man boasted about being undefeated on the technicality he'd never done a trial as prosecutor before. He goes on long winded unrelated metaphors about coffee in the middle of Phoenix trying to cross examine witnesses. When asked to remove his 90s sci-fi mask his only response is "dont we all have masks tho, bro." Godot did not give a shit about what the hell he was doing. Man had one goal and one goal alone and it was to fuck with Phoenix because he FELT like it. Bro just did the entire charade because he's the most pettiest of bitch alive. That's just how he is.

🎃➷ 13 Scary Prompts for Friday the 13th ☾ 𓆩☻𓆪ੈ✩

1. whumpee is trapped in a dark forest with caretaker or whumper (your choice). doesn’t matter if they’re friends or enemies, they both have to work together to find a way out before midnight, because that’s when it awakes and begins to hunt.

2. two characters who are enemies are trapped in an abandoned asylum. they soon learn they aren’t alone in the building; or, patients who are locked up here — when the staff suddenly fled one day — are in fact murderous cannibals.

3. characters throw a Friday the 13th party, everything goes well until someone — an old friend — shows up, an old friend who’s been dead for years.

4. there’s a myth that goes “something bad will happen within 7 days if you kiss someone under the moon on Friday the 13th”. character A and B think it’s bullshit and do exactly that. they’re about to find out the hard way that the myth — the curse — is real.

5. whumpee gets killed on Friday the 13th and wakes up amongst the dead, all of them have also been murdered on Friday the 13th.

6. whumpee is kidnapped. in order to save their life, caretaker has to kill 13 people before midnight of Friday the 13th.

7. on the night of Friday the 13th, caretaker finds a black stray cat at their front porch and decides to adopt the cat. it must be a coincidence that people in the neighborhood start disappearing after this mysterious cat shows up.

8. every Friday the 13th, character A is visited by a ghost who claims to be their lover from the past life. the ghost can only communicate with them when it’s Friday the 13th.

9. character A is immortal… unless they died on Friday the 13th. their enemies know this. so all character A has to do is stay alive until midnight, easier said than done. it doesn’t help that they happen to have a lot of enemies.

10. character A is cursed, so every Friday the 13th, they will be possessed by a demonic entity whose goals are death and destruction of innocent people. to try to prevent this, character A has to chain themself up and lock themself inside their house. but the devil is smart.

11. the purge. I don’t need to say more, but every Friday the 13th, murder and all type of crimes are legal in this town.

12. a group of tourists visit a small village located deep in the woods. it’s a lovely, peaceful village with nice villagers. only that they all turn into bloodthirsty murderers every Friday the 13th at nighttime. too bad our tourists don’t know about this, they’ll find out soon enough though.

13. Character A summons a demon on a dare. they don’t expect it to work, but it does. only character A can see the demon, turns out it just lonely and wants a friend.
