Brief Summary:  Impa enlists a distant relative to provide cover for the Princess until the Hero awakens. That relative is Sheik, a gender neutral child with a slight resemblance to the Princess. When they finally meet Link, Sheik is quite taken with the mute hero. Can they fulfill their duty as his guide without their feelings getting in the way?

I must admit I am a bit at a loss for anything female!Sheik related/Zelda-as-Sheik so if I could get some assistance in building up that part of the collection via submissions that would be great! Thank you guys in advance.

It was hard. As he glanced upon the empty pedestal, he could remember the details very vividly. Of when he first started his mission. No, not the mission he was given as a kid, but the mission he was given as an adult, the mission given by Rauru. He remembered those footsteps. He remembered that voice. He remembered the mystery. The puzzles.

Unspoken (SheikxLink)

“Please don’t go,”

It’s whispered softly from soft, silky lips into the peach skin of Link’s ears- the warm breath tickling its way into Link’s macadamia hair. The hushed, musical voice is one that he’s used to, but that’s why he can detect the sadness and unbearable vulnerability whithin them. He can practically feel the fear, the uncertainty, the shame coursing through his lover’s veins.

That is no excuse for him, however.

“I have to go, Sheik. You know that.”

From under the curtain of silvery blonde hair, blood red eyes peek out, plump lips drawn to a small frown. He just glances up at his hero, expressionless, before nodding softly, turning away so that he wouldn’t have to face him. It’s safer, it’s better this way. Link knows it, but that doesn’t mean his heart hurts any less.

“…Sheik…”

The Sheikah does not turn, nor does he acknowledge the call. For another moment, it’s silent and only their slow breathing fills the gaping hole between them; the very hole that fate and time had created, one that is inevitable…

Link cannot take this any longer. With a soft breath, he turns away, and let his foot carry him out.

Because this is something that he knows he has to do.

Day 5. Silence.

As a young boy, chatter always surrounded him. It didn’t matter what time of day or night, or where he was. There were always sounds to be heard—the chatting of the other children, the sounds of the forest, the twinkling chimes of fairies. Even in his own room in the darkest of night there were the sounds of insects that enjoyed the cooler forest air.

Summer

How long it has been since I have posted a completed fic? Life has been hard (this word does not properly describe some of it) but it has also been very good. I have been on trip the last two weeks as well. This installment has been in the works for awhile but it was very hard to sit down and finish, mostly out of sheer exhaustion. But here it is.

Comfort

I threw this together in like an hour and I’ve never written Sheik before, so I hope this is okay.

Sheik found him camped just outside the desert. Link sat staring blankly into the small fire in front of him, and his horse, Epona, rested not too far from him. She walked silently over to his little camp and sat across the fire from him. Link was not surprised by her sudden appearance. Sheik often appeared from the shadows whenever it seemed as if he needed her most. And she was always there when he needed her most.

“I see you made it through the Spirit Temple,” she said gazing at him over the fire.

“I awakened Nabooru as the Sage of Spirit,” he confirmed, his eyes lighting up with a small crooked smile. Sheik smiled back, though Link could not see it.

“So you are headed to the Temple of Time now, yes?” she raised a questioning eyebrow at him.

The hero nodded before abruptly saying, “Why are you here, Sheik?”
