Nintendo I'm a simple man, a simple gamer who loves to have fun and see new games hit the masses with great joy, so of course I feel the need to ask...WHO MADE Y'ALL HIT THE BUTTON AND DROP THE BOMBSHELLS ON US WITH THIS DIRECT!!?
Starting off ya got Stellar Blade hitting Switch 2, I've heard a lot about this game when it first dropped but hardly took the time to watch a lot of it, it looks sick and cool though so big win there!
More Fire Emblem keeps the world going, looks nice as always!
Holy- I thought this series up and vanished after the first game, they got a sequel coming!? Wow, guess all the money they made from the microtransactions went into developing this, it looks pretty good!
Oh wow, this game's finally free from Wii and Vita prison, I saw it on the former a lot back then so perhaps now I'll jump into it!
HD-2D Final Fantasy, gotta say it looks fantastic! It's a remake of a mobile game if I'm not mistaken and honestly what a remake indeed!
Welcome back Wuhu Island, it's been too long! Switch Sports has a rather mixed rep iirc but I always thought they looked just as fun as Wii Sports and Resort (especially Resort, man the swordfighting was addicting), maybe this one swings some things around.
I will never not be hyped for Splatoon related stuff even if I haven't played everything myself (Splatoon 2 guy over here and forever a fan), Raiders looks fun as heck and is probably up there as worth getting immediately upon nabbing a Switch 2!!
I'm amazed how accessible this series is and only now do I have more of an interest in it than I did when X first got revealed long ago (although Pyra/Mythra being in Smash did almost hook me to 2), something about Genesis intrigues me and I really wanna see more!
It took...a Nintendo Direct...to finally see ANYTHING new regarding KH4, man Square Enix you held some serious restraint to let this be the way to show it! Much like with KH3 I'm still getting used to the look of it but man does it look as awesome as ever to play, now hopefully we get even more to see going forward!!
Helping matters is that finally Nintendo gets all the Kingdom Hearts games on one system and NO NEED FOR CLOUD GAMING (though ya still need a DS of some kind for Days and Re: Coded, man they had get shafted so hard) so if there was ever a time to get into the series and don't have a strong PC or PlayStation and Xbox, this would definitely be it (poor Switch 1 owners tho, only 1.5 and 2.5 available in that collection, always a caveat).
But with all the napalm of games being dropped onto us to get excited for, leave it to Nintendo to let us know of the freaking NUKE they have waiting for us...
...Y'all win the summer showcase Nintendo, just...FINALLY!!!
