My reasonings:

Kris: Lace is a silk creature in a world of bugs, while Kris is a human in a town of monsters.

Susie: Both act antagonistic at first (Lace acts antagonistic through most of Silksong) and haven't really had any friends before. Lace has a bad home life and Susie likely does too.

Ralsei: Both have huge self worth issues and don't think of themselves as real. Both are defying a higher power (Ralsei trying to change the prophecy, Lace defying her mother).

Noelle: Both have a controlling mother and something going on with their sibling (Exhaust Organ banishment, whatever happened to Dess).

I know people have considered the parallels between Hornet saving Ghost after it gets the King's Brand and Ghost saving Hornet in the Sister of the Void ending, but:

What about the parallels between Ghost saving Hornet and Ghost being left to fall by Hollow in the Abyss? I can't properly articulate my thoughts about it but maybe someone else can.

Getting back into Silk song and doodling my frist pass at Widow and how her pins work. Hcs under cut (slight spoilers for end game):

I think early generations Weavers have more of their orginal body while later ones look more like GMS body.

The abdomen is server for little more than silk storage as the silk glands and all other organs have been moved up to the chest and abdomen. The orginal spinnets still function and can spin but the newer set is the "main" one to produce silk. The slik glands have been increased in size and moved to the back along the torso sides. The pins are punctured in a criss-cross to spike each gland and prevent production.

The metal plate on Widow chest you can barely see is there to hold the pins and prevent them from falling out from movment. I imagine there a some kind of lock mechanism to further keep them in. Either way it need skilled hands to remove with any chance of recovering the glands. But also insuring no other organs are harmed in removal.

I do believe the pins were placed by GMS as both a punishment and way to clip her wings and hold on to her. Without Silk Widow is forced to relay on her claws and body for safety. I wouldn't doubt her staying up at the peak of bellheart is just as much about safety as it is guilding the silk threads. Her body worn down from the frantic playing of the strong threads slowly cutting her shell and without silk to bind she just in bad shape.

In a timeline where Hornet spared and saved Widow, Hornet have to supply the silk needed to heal her. The mask would also need to be commision on Hornet end as Widow would not be in a sane enough state to be reasoned with or talked to.

Once sane and aware, Widow be very embarrassed about needing someone's silk for herself and make a point to help Hornet however she can to replay her. She also become very stubborn about accepting help in her recovery as the idea of not being able to do something as simple as produce silk to heal herself is humiliating and a massive loss of control.

The chandelier in the Forum gauntlet room is seriously fucked up if you think about it. Imagine you get told to go to Whiteward because you've been "selected for duty most sacred", and then you get put in this terrifying painful machine that drains your silk and kills you, and it's horrible but at least you're going to be useful for something, you're going to light the way for the ones who come after you, your death means something. And then the rich people put your soul in a fucking chandelier. They straight up murdered people to make a room look nice!

Who do you feel like tormenting today and how

as much as i like the concept of shakra getting voided and as much as i would like to see more of it. i also feel like when people don't make shakra voided, they have her recovery be a kind of moot point in hornet/bellhart's post-canon existence. i feel like we should have her recovery be a lot rougher than it was.... and she can still end up fine* in the end all things considered i just want her to hurt a bit.

like you know when you're in a life or death situation, and once the adrenaline passes you straight up can't move anymore. like your body doesn't let your muscles operate. i think we should do that to her

My take on giving Eva a robot body:

Modeled after the servitors

Controlled with soul inputs from Eva

Glass can be covered for safety

Can walk/scuttle on the ground, but too heavy to climb

Can roll around (disorienting but fun for Eva)

Limbs are strong but not very dexterous

Proximity sensor so Eva doesn't bump into things (she still can't see)
