i run into people who want no part of the community at all. almost every single one of them is very conservative and prudish. i donât want them anyway :)
I guess we just don't have any of those in SF haha. The idea of being gay and wanting to be persecuted is something we don't have here (:
I would never consider dating a man who:
Is against carrying a gun
Is a vegan
Is pro-abortion
Wants government gay âmarriageâ
Votes Democrat/is a socialist/is a communist/etc. etc. etc.

Look, I understand that saying "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" makes you feel like you're being politically correct or whatever, but Chanukah started two and a half weeks ago, and no one was wishing me a "Happy Holiday" back then...

I honestly think a middle schooler with photoshop could have done a better job than the graphic designer who put this crap together.

Yesterday my mom posted a picture on Facebook of my 5 year old brother Sam wearing a pair of shoes he picked out for his first day of preschool. She explained to him in the store that they were really made for girls. Sam then told her that he didnât care and that âninjas can wear pink shoes too.â Sam went to preschool and got several compliments on his new shoes. Not one kid said anything negative toward him about it.
However, my mom received about 20 comments on the photo from various family members saying how âwrongâ it is and how âthings like this will affect him sociallyâ and, put most eloquently by my great aunt, âthat shit will turn him gay.â
My mom then deleted the photo and told Sam that he can wear whatever he wants to preschool, that itâs his decision. If he wants to wear pink shoes, he can wear pink shoes.
Sam then explained to her that he didnât like them because they were pink, he liked them because they were âmade out of zebrasâ and zebras are his favorite animal :)
What does it say about society when a group of adults could stand to take a lesson in humanity from a class of preschoolers?
Words cannot express how happy this makes me.
Iâm ashamed of society but also love this child and his mother.
