Gosh it’s been a while hasn’t it? Well I shot my first show of 2016 last night at the beautiful Queen’s Hall in Edinburgh. Walk The Moon were a pleasure to photograph and I got lots of lovely shots. They’ll all be up at takeashot.lv very soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
This year hasn’t involved a lot of concert photography and I’m gonna do everything in my power to change that in 2016. Hopefully now I’m back in Scotland I’ll get back into covering heaps of pop-punk, rock and alternative shows in Edinburgh and Glasgow and sharing all my photos with you guys! For now though here’s my top ten moments from 2015 - everything from meeting James McAvoy, catching up with Fall Out Boy and hanging out with The Academy Is, befriending 12 cats in a Cat Cafe, and going to Disneyland a few too many times. All the best for 2016 lovelies. Go forth and make it your year! xx

I love the Five Sisters Zoo. I visit every time I come home to see my family. You can get really close to almost all the animals and they're always bright eyed (and some are bushy tailed!).
I'm a sucker for meerkats. They're my absolute weakness. This one was posing for a while - hoping to be fed I think!
Sorry it's been such a long time tumblr, how is everyone doing?
I didn't shoot anywhere near the number of concertss and festivals in 2014 as I did in the six previous years and that was pretty disappointing. It's a lot tougher now being in London and struggling to get an outlet to support me that'll consistently get me passes for shows (if anyone knows of any that might be worth getting in touch with I'd massively appreciate it). I spent years being a big fish in a small pond in central Scotland and now I'm a microscopic organism in an ocean in London.
Anyway. Whether I get to shoot lots of shows this year or not (though I am working on it!) I'll be using my camera as much as I can this year to take photos of other things - like the love Squinty Bridge in Glasgow above - as well as work related events with ATG wherever possible (I've still got a huge pile of James McAvoy photos that I'm sitting on and basically not allowed to post anywhere, so keen to share wah!).
I'm looking for inspiration - anyone got some 2015 photography projects planned?

Though in fairness I've been shooting actors and stuff the past few months instead. It's been....interesting. Anyway - Blitz Kids were probably the best I've ever seen them tonight. You'll hear all about that in the review soon though...
