Zonami (One Piece) and Vegebul (Dragon Ball)
Personally, my two favorite couples for both works. Although many find that there is an absurd similarity between them, Oda was inspired by Dragon Ball for the creation of his characters. As for example, the classic main character who likes to eat, train and behave like "dumb", and has become a cliché in the shonen world (as well as in Naruto, the work of Masashi Kishimoto).
First of all, these two couples have the first elements in common, two women, both very intelligent, argumentative and tend to satisfy their needs with money. And two men, distant and generally indifferent (although Vegeta tends to be much colder), and both share a deep love for training.
Two iconic smiles
• Their mentality is very identical: a proud man does not hold back, and an intelligent woman always manages to make her way.
• Zoro and Vegeta both share a habit of grumbling when complaining about being commanded by Nami and Bulma (respectively), but always end up doing what they are told.
• Both Vegeta and Bulma, as well as Zoro and Nami, are closest to the main characters of their series, Goku and Luffy.
• Another well-known parallel is how both Nami and Bulma stood by their wounded men.
The very first parallel made between these two pairs was in Cross Epoch, a crossover of the two manga made between Toriyama and Oda in 2006. In the cover, Zoro is placed parallel to Vegeta, while Nami is placed in parallel to Bulma.
In Dragon Ball Super, the relationship between Vegeta and Bulma is almost explored more, making the similarity between these two couples even more famous. The relationship between Vegeta and Bulma began as two enemies, who could barely see each other, and is somewhat very similar to Zoro and Nami's initial relationship. But over time the grumblers Zoro and Vegeta have softened by being in the presence of their women.
Another interesting thing, is how in the collection of the Japanese cards during the 40th weekly jump, there are some cards that are parallel to Zoro and Vegeta, and to Nami and Bulma.
Thank you for reading all the way 💚
and that's why Shanks represents Trunks (redhaired swordsman who likes to drink huh)
