Ok Ik I’m posting the same thing too many times but I took photos of it with my camera and I’m a bit obsessed so you should see it too
Red River, Grey City by Canon EOS D60
The river burns in borrowed light. The city stands in quiet concrete.
Between them, a season flickers — soft, and already fading.
House with One Wall, Zurich - Christian Kerez
The pain radiating through her body was excruciating with every small movement. Intense to the point where she didn’t know where it started and where it stopped. But at least she was here, safe, and not in immediate danger. Plus, the amount of rejuvenating sleep she had gotten was enough to fuel her for at least a week outside of her current circumstance. However, this was all so strange to her- who were these people? Previous events were anything but normal and their reactions weren’t that of normal people. No, they were just as out of the ordinary as she was.
Half opened eyes with furrowed brows watched Emily closely- focusing on the other as if the ground herself from the pain. A small groan mixed with a whine was the only response to Emily’s instructions. Hell, she doesn’t think she could move even if she wanted. In the moment Alura couldn’t deny that it hurt- the way her hands gripped the sheets below her and the soft features of her face became tense. This situation felt all too familiar. So familiar that it’d leave her eyes just slightly glossy with frustration mixed with agony that ran deeper than surface level.
“I see..” well, that sucked to think about. A visible frown would make its way to her lips. So Gideon was the doctor.. Sinclair was mister fairy and she was..? Did all three of them assist each other? Surely they did. Alura could only assume that they all had seen parts of her that were supposed to remain hidden. “Thanks..” she’d mumble out and bury her face into the bed for a few seconds as if to hide her shame- a long sigh releasing from her before looking back at Emily once she gathered herself.
“Sinclair is.. the fairy correct? And you are..?” That seemed like the important question. Even if she didn’t understand what was going on, at least she could say they were on a first name basis. At the end of the day she was thankful she wasn’t in the hospital- this felt a lot more quiet and less chaotic than having a bunch of nurses running around trying to figure out why her body temperature was in the critical zone. Been there done that. Never again. Still, who the hell was Mr.Sinclair having a.. maid and a personal doctor? Had she been in a clearer mindset she would’ve been more suspicious. But he couldn’t be all that bad right? She was still alive after all.
“Please?” Yeah, it had to be bad. She wasn’t in a position to deny any help they were offering her. The whole idea of sitting was something she’d dread- but whatever weird feeling Mr. Sinclair gave off.. she had a gut feeling that was the least of her concerns. If he could so much as whisper a command and her body followed- and that was as far as that thought went. She could give two fucks about anything in the moment. Eyes would shut tightly again and she’d murmur out a few cuss words- burying her face in the sheets again and staying there this time. She wanted to feel better.
"Sure, no problem," Emily nods slightly, not bothering to mention that she was getting paid to do this. Otherwise she woulda kept her nose out of it altogether beyond getting her a cab or something.
And just as Emily turned to leave, it seemed their guest had more questions. A small smile rests on Emily's features, as she is surprised the girl had the energy at all to speak really. A 'fairy'? Yeah- she supposed he's something like that alright.
"I'm Emily. And yes, Mr. Sinclaire is your host. The guy who dragged you here in the first place? He's out in the living room. Sleeping. It'd be nice to say that he didn't leave your side all night, but I can't. That shit was all me. Don't go thanking him for my efforts."
Emily jokes with a small chuckle, "I'm gonna get him to come look at you when I bring the water. You just hang tight, kay?"
And with that, Emily leaves the room, leaving the door cracked a bit behind her. Alura can faintly hear them talking eventually.
'Hey- yeah- no no she's goo- will you let me finish what I'm trying to tell you? She's awake. I need your help... She's- yeah-"
Lucio is roused from his sleep and the situation is explained by Emily. He stretches idly with a yawn. That time already? A bottle of water and a straw are retrieved and Emily returns to the room swiftly with them. The man with the strange presence follows on her heels.
"Yo-! You're up!" He grins, watching Emily open the water and place the straw in before setting it down for a minute. Gathering up pillows to put behind her back for when they move her. Already Lucio is focusing on dulling her pain enough that they can get her up to take her meds.
"How ya feeling? Like shit I gather?" He grins widely. At least she didn't reek so badly of blood now. He could actually approach her bedside now, moving the chair out of the way so that they can work. Though, he wants to get her nice and dulled before they try anything at all. Best to keep her talking to get a gauge on how she's doing.
Emily stands by, her hands folded in front of her. Waiting for the go ahead really.
"Aww, he can't be that terrible, surely."
Pari said with a cheeky little smirk before she would gently offer a hand towards Lucio after placing the cash in the thigh high part of her latex boot.
"Follow me, if you please."
Pari's tone was a one that had genuine warmth and friendliness despite the setting. It seemed that once she had managed to get to the venue on time after their earlier meeting, she was a lot less stressed out.
"Private rooms are this way, sweetheart."
She looked over her shoulder as she would then lead the way.
"How are you holding up? I know you've had a massive hit. Luckily, if it's too much, I can help."
As odd as the offer was, she was as much of a professional as she was being genuinely pleasant.
Jules doesn't bother to respond, confident that Lucio will behave generally well unless he gets hungry. Offering only a light hearted shrug in response as he watches Lucio helped to his stumbling feet. So long as he can walk- it's all good baby. Everything's fucking golden.
Lucio himself takes her gloved hand into his own. The coolness of his body barely able to seep through the thick latex insulating her body heat. His lumbering steps follow her mindlessly at her instruction, a hugely dumb smile plastered all over his face.
Pleased as fucking punch.
Private rooms? Fer what? Did he pay her for something? Idly, his free hand checks his pockets for his wallet. Feeling the lump in one side, he breathes a heavy sigh of relief. If Jules had taken it, the thing would be empty by morning.
One would expect just a barely there grasp on her hand. More of a her holding him to lead him kinda way. But no, Lucio's fingers twine with her own, squeezing softly.
"Hm? Help? You gonna help me?" He asks idly, this sort of blissed expression on his face as he watches her. The sway of her hips and the movement of her lips both seemed to slow, His reddened eyes can't pick which to focus on. His smile only growing ever wider, his fingers lightly squeeze her own again in response.
"You're the chemist from earlier..." He says, dumbly following her along into the corridor lined with doors. Rooms he assumed that she was speaking of earlier.
"The chemist with the blue hair. You didn't tell me your name."

Inside the house, it was quiet. Dead quiet. No sounds of anyone living there, not even the ticking of a clock. It was almost eerie as she looked around. It didn't look like an abandoned place, but it obviously felt like one.
Where had that bastard gone?!
Still full of rage, she crossed the rooms that the building had to offer. She actually wanted to keep her focus on the man she wanted to confront, but the interior design made her pause here and there. Nothing she wouldn't expect from Lucio, but still, she stopped in front of some abstract murals or stared at an elaborately decorated candlestick a little too long.
He lived this gothic style through and through...
Aya realized that she was mainly driven by anger, but it had been a different kind of emotion that had ultimately made her decide to turn back.
His distressed figure, barely able to hold on to the banister.
She hated herself for it, because she would never admit that to him. They weren't made for that. To feel pity for each other.
After finding nothing on the lower floor, Aya gradually ventured up the stairs. Her steps became more deliberate, focused on what or whom she might hear. But it remained silent.
A door at the top of the stairs was ajar, so she peered through the crack. It was dark, but she could make out something spread out on the floor in the middle of the room. A box? A large box? Quiet as a cat, she pushed the door open and stepped inside.
A fucking coffin?! Shit, this gothic thing was definitely going too far!
But then again she remembered Lucio's gaze, the monstrous expression on his face when he had shown her his sharp pointy teeth. She refused to make the connection, because that couldn't be possible... could it?
Slowly, she walked over to the coffin and knelt on the floor in front of it. Her heart was pounding in her throat as she decided to open it by lifting the lid and revealing what was inside.
Each room was empty in the sense that there were no people. They were furnished and dusted as though the rooms were cared for and yet... the bed clothes had been folded for so long that there were permanent creases. No one used these rooms. Not the guest room, nor the extra bathroom. The only other rooms in the corridor was a walk in pantry (Which was mostly empty), and a room filled to the brim with all sorts of art and antique looking junk. All styled in a way that seemed typically of Lucio's style.
The living room was actually much more lived in. And so was upstairs once she decided to traverse up there. Another bathroom, a den (filled with books and other hobby items), and the bedroom. Which was not fully closed. Strangely enough... there were hardly any windows in the home. None upstairs at all.
Her quiet steps had led her into the room. Where there was a very large bed, and typical matching furniture pieces. What was strange though, was the coffin in the middle of the room that she'd picked out with her eyes. Around it, some dirt lay strewn on the rug.
The wooden lid was heavy, likely difficult to remove, but not impossible. Inside, lay the Lord Sinclaire. Pale as a ghost, skin sunken in slightly more than usual as he'd let himself relax in the bed of wet dirt he was sleeping in.
Though, it didn't necessarily look like he was sleeping. He wasn't breathing. It looked like he was dead. The fact that he was icy cold to the touch wasn't helping with such assumptions either.
A corpse in a coffin. His fingers were clutched in his band tee as he slept. Like a security blanket.
He does not stir, even as she lifts the lid. Even as she looks at him, deciding what to do next.
