(Marine Day) A bit of Water is Harmless || Riley & Touko
"It is stuffy. I need to buy a t-shirt..” Following her circling with his eyes, he thought about how weird this must’ve looked to a passerby. Sighing, Riley held out his hand, but quickly remembered that was a thing that not many did, and immediately did a short bow, keeping his straight face but ending up having a small smile form on his face. "Each to their own indeed.. My name is Riley.. It’s a pleasure to meet you." Keeping quiet for a minute, he found something to talk about, hoping it was related to the event. "So.. what does Humilau do for Marine Day?" He asked lightly, trying to keep on the topic of the event.
Trying not to stare any longer at the man and attract any more attention, Touko turned her focus on the schools of Lanturn and Corsola wading along the shimmering waters. Every single Pokemon was as colorful as the last, she felt herself becoming completely fixated by the legions of tropical Pokemon, many of which she'd never seen. It was almost difficult to, but she still tried maintaining her conversation with the gentleman, Riley.
"Well," she absent-mindedly swipes to access her menu, a reflex by now. The time was approaching noon. "I heard a little bit about the parade, but I'm pretty sure I missed that already." Scratching her neck, Touko turned to face him once more. "I guess just chilling on the beach? Maybe duck in and out of some street vendors, I don't know. I never celebrated this day back home, anyways. I was just coming to check it out...thought I could use a vacation!"
