hi:) Thanks indeed for your amazing blog, and a special thanks for Haneuma Dino translations, I was looking for them for years! Are you planning to translate this novel till the end someday? Hope you don't mind asking about it :)
I totally intended to translate all the Dino stories when I first started translating things for this blog because, like, what the hell, Dino? I thought you were popular. Why hasn't any of your stories been translated? The fandom needs to know about your shitty childhood. But, unfortunately, I am either inherently lazy or too much of a perfectionist or something so few of the translations I start ever get finished.
I'm also really sucking at real life right now, so that's an actually good reason why translations probably won't resume anytime soon. However, I do enjoy translating things and I still really enjoy the light novels. (I re-read them pretty often actually.) It's totally within my interests to keep translating them. But yeah, real life, laziness, etc. I don't think I should promise anything.
Not completely up to date since I'm too lazy to re-watch the episodes. The exclamation points (!) indicate odd or conflicting information. To be added upon as the series progresses.

And the last three lines in the bottom section seem to be what the watch was reading out loud (i.e. case 102, prioritizing the case before therapy, being demoted to Enforcer). The first line, however, seems to say something about "721 points" and being "number one in the country," which sounds a lot like that exam thing Akane placed well in.
One day, I'll learn to post these not hours before the next episode. There are 50 images under the link.
Shinya's impractical sink. Look at how far across you have to reach to wash your hands. No wonder he has such nice abs.
Anterctic = Antarctic? This makes the weird text in the ED seem even more significant.
Shinya's watch looking like Shusei's watch looking like Tomomi's.
Underside of the watch
"harms you [and those] around you"
Spinel? I cared enough to look it up but not enough to try to understand it.
The Public Advertising Mechanism
暗く冷たい闇の心?
衝動を抑えます。
Which together means "Cold, dark hearts of darkness will suppress urges." Or something. I don't understand this without context. Is this propaganda? Some weird advertisement? Not a reference to Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness, by the way.
Goodness, those are a lot of distractions there, Ginoza. I hope that this car is half-driving itself.
Oh god, I finally figured this out and it actually means something. The license plate says 新湾岸 and it means "New Wangan." It's a reference to the director's other work, Bayside Shakedown, wherein Wangan is a fictional precinct of the actually existing Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. "Wangan" means "gulf" or "bay."
Hachioji Independent Mech Firm
Did this dude like seriously just put on his coat so that he wouldn't get cold in that short distance from the car to the building? And Akane never wears a coat omg she's like a robot or something.
Impractically small official English translations:
Victim's right arm (blood type: ARh+)
Remarks: amputation by high output laser device
Drug reaction: negative
Pretty much all the injuries were by "high output laser device" except for 02, which is "crushed by large machine tool."
Pale Violet Red. These hue names are getting less and less creative. I am a little disappointed.
Red text in the background: No entry. This was totally not another excuse to post another scowling hottie what are you talking about.
This guy's birthday is the latest of all the birthdays shown in this episode and even his birthday has passed just like the rest of them (year of birth + age = 2113 for all of them), which means that the events in this episode take place at the earliest on October 29, 2113? 2112? Is Japan one of those countries where you're one year old when you're born or is that just Korea?
Oh wow, Tomomi stroking his chin made this sound really dirty. Thanks for that, Tomomi. I didn't need that.
Akane's watch blocking Shinya's face.
omg these cuties
I may or may not be collecting images of things blocking Shinya's face.
Shusei's watch, which comes with a nice set of features including: Light, Scan, Compass, and I'm betting the bottom one says Radar.

Oolong Tea

This series is shaping up to be the shoddily-animated anime adaptation of the sci-fi otome game of my dreams.
oh man what a lucky guy/dear god what don't i ship
Still trying to get more confirmation on the date. The top row in the graph contains the years 2109-2112, so I'm pretty sure it takes place in 2112. The row below it lists the odd numbered months (1, 3, 5, ...11) in each year and the hue data cuts off between the 9 and 11, so October/early November. This is consistent with all those early November dates we've been seeing thus far.
lol gino you're not even trying
Now that Tomomi's out of the way, we can see how this guy's hue gets lighter and darker throughout the year but remains some shade of green. None of the workers' hues actually change color from, like, blue to green, which is what I thought was happening when a hue got cloudy.
"Dark Slate Gray - Dark Color"
"Yellow Green - Clear Color"
So I guess stress levels are only indicated by shade? But then, what do the colors mean? Why was this guy bullied for being Yellow Green?
kawaii uguu, etc.
ohohohohohohohohohohalsjdlfkajdlkjksdjfllakdjflk
And then that bathroom scene happened and I lol'd pretty hard throughout the whole thing holy crap Shinya.
You can see the surveillance camera screen reflected in his eyes even though he hasn't pulled it up yet.
Commie subs making things easier for me. The cut off phrases are:
Camera Search Management
G Terminal Information
BT Hands Free (Bluetooth?)
Just to be thorough or idk if anyone wants to write an incredibly detailed fanfic or something.
The aforementioned surveillance camera screen
Finally a cyberpunk reference
That sign: "Watch your step" "Watch your head"
You never know. This might be foreshadowing.
"Safety First"
Yayoi's watch. It looks slightly less bulky than the others, but then again, I don't think these animators can be trusted. Case in point: Yayoi's manly left hand compared to her delicate right hand in this picture.
Oh wow, that's pretty high. I'm guessing 300+ is genocide?
High output laser device?
Ginoza and Tomomi meant something. This jellyfish must mean something, too. But I'm not coming up with anything other than she might be a hologram and that sounds boring.
Ginoza looking back = uncertainty, regret, preoccupation?
I was kind of just going to sit back and watch and see how this unfolds, but it makes me glad that there's someone out there questioning the information.
I've been sticking an amalgamation of keywords into two different search engines and I'm getting nothing out of the Japanese side of things. The Japanese Weekly Shonen Jump website says nothing. The official merchandise information site says nothing. I'm getting no blogs of either professional or hobbyist merit. If it was announced in the latest issue of the magazine, I wouldn't know about that as I don't have access to it, but if it was announced at all, I imagine there'd be people talking about it somewhere on the internet.
I'll concede that the possibility exists that KHR is ending, but I don't think it is, and I share your stance in holding out for a better source before believing that it's true.
- inspired by shirtlessly’s notes on Psycho-Pass episode 2, I will now attempt to break down the conversation between Shuusei and Akane systematically.
Continuing off part I, further analysis of Shuusei’s and Akane’s conversation that largely focuses on the moral hazards I feel the Sybil System presents as well as Akane’s sense of social justice.
I keep re-reading this in the hopes that I come up with something intelligent to add to the discussion, but ahh this is too perfect. I can't think of anything to say. It's incredibly flattering to think my post inspired such a well-written and insightful analysis.
