I'm dedicating this blog to the tanakh and talmud fandom. The works i posted here of other fandoms happened before i made this decision.

What i mainly like within tanakh/talmud:

- Yehonatan/David

- most of the Bereshit cast

- The story of the four who entered the pardes

- Elisha Ben-Avuyah's many shinanigans and his colleagues. I got hooked after reading "as a driven leaf" but i don't stick to that depiction with fanarts

I haven't posted any talmud fanarts yet, or enough tanakh fanart for that matter. There's very little content right now so I'm mainly planning the content for this blog here. I'm busy studying so i don't think these content will come out anytime soon either. I will not post very often in general.

I learn about tanakh and talmud for purely recreational purposes. I make a lot of headcanons, but i limit myself to only make them based on stuff that i already researched on and have a basic level of understanding about. If you are proficient in torah or talmud studies you are welcome educate me.

⚠️Before you start scrolling:

This is my hobby and non of my works pose as serious interpretations of the original literature, all interpretation or conspiracy theory belongs in the "headcanon" category. From now on i will only tag my work with tags such as "the bible fandom" instead of "the bible" or "tanakh".

Please note, I interpret these stories through an agnostic lens and i play around with the characters like I would characters of any other fandom. So if you are religious this is probably not for you. I like gore, i like to make headcanons and most importantly i like shipping characters together. Seriously, nothing is holy here, for the sake of your sanity think twice before you decide to scroll down or sub.

My content is not suited for anyone under the age of 18. Not only because of the topics i like to explore are grim, but also because there will be NSFW content at some point.

What you will probably see on this blog:

- exaggerated character designs of tanakhic/talmudic figures. Not as exaggerated as the fate series but it won't be very historically accurate either

- headcanons, conspiracy theories and personal depictions that are most likely gonna be very far from usual depictions and academic/ religious consensus

- shipping

- occasional silly doodles

- comics if i am extra energetic and free

- reposts of the same topic

What you will not see on this blog:

- serious claims about the original literature coming from me.

- Attack on any religion or faith. Additionally, any bias, if depicted, remains solely within the context of the story and do not extend to my personal belief or opinion irl. This includes but is not limited to sexism, xenophobia and homophobia that could exist within the historical and cultural context.

- anything political. This blog is strictly for recreational purposes only and will not concern itself with real life politics and events.

我还没发塔木德同人，塔纳赫其实也没发很多。现在内容还没多少，这里主要是计划计划我这个博客以后会有啥内容。我学业比较忙所以这些内容大概也不会很快出来。整体来讲我不会经常更新。

了解塔纳赫和塔木德纯粹是我的个人爱好。我搞很多私设，但我将这些私设限制在我已经了解过并有一定程度认知的东西上面。如果你有很多塔纳赫和塔木德相关知识的话欢迎指教我。

I finished my David/Jonathan au fanfic, enjoy.

We’re gonna ignore the fact I lied about posting this on Valentine’s Day, it’s still a Valentine’s special because I said so. Also, I made some art for the fanfic. I don’t think I’ve ever shared my horror paintings, but here’s one of Jonathan.

But this is my gift… hope you all enjoy the gift

There’s some smut in the beginning, but I’m going to warn you that the rest of the story is pretty depressing. This is one of my darker fanfics. I do like writing horror but I think this story is more sad than scary, and yeah please read the tags because most of the things I mentioned are definitely not sugarcoated, though not extreme. Like, I do go into detail, but just enough to convey what is happening.

But if you like Jonathan being tormented, here you go I guess

The story is an au scenario where David and Jonathan’s relationship ends in a different way. Basically, I made their already tragic ending even more tragic. I really want to say what it is, but once you read it, I think you’ll be able to put the pieces together.

now that I’m thinking more about it I just don’t think I can sexualize rabbi akiva at all. partly because he’s canonically an old bearded guy (+ maybe kind of ugly? or is that just from the orchard). there are some canonically hot sages tho! rabbi yochanan (of “and resh lakish” fame) obviously was super hot AND gay

I wanna say there are other canonically hot sages but I might just be thinking about their descriptions in the orchard and I’m not sure if it’s canon or not (needs more research). there is a part where they’re comparing dick size. but honestly that’s too easy to sexualize… I need something more metaphorical

I think rabbi akiva is canonically bald ? Evidence being his son changed his name to ben korach, which i understand "korach" means bald, usually specifically meaning bald headed, i cope by arguing that it could mean he lacked body hair, but then men with short hair was considered to be more virtuous, so being bald is a symbol of his status, and my argument therefore weak and has little to no basis┐⁠(⁠´⁠ー⁠｀⁠)⁠┌

I don't remember seeing any source explicitly describe him as ugly like they did with rabbi Yehoshua so he probably just looked like any other middle aged man that did hard labour all their lives.

And if attractiveness matters on this subject, then another topic ive seen being sexualised is the story of yaakov wrestling the angel (or god). I didn't find that out myself but rather learnt it from a friend who studied religion, her lecture had a section about different opinions on what was the nature of the "wrestling". I'll quote:

- "wrestled": as if he embraces and kisses, which is the manner of seduction. (Targum Onkelos, 2nd century)

- when he saw that he could not prevail against Israel, he touched the hollow of his thigh, that is the place of circumcision. (Midrash Lekach Tov)

- some interpret 'the socket of the hip' as having sexual reference, referring to the penis and engaging in intercourse. (Abraham Ibn Ezra, 12th century)

- "wrestled": i am of the opinion that it means "and he attached himself to", and it is an aramaic word meaning "to join together", like intertwined fringes (The Ramban, 13th century)

Unfortunately i never verified it by checking the sources so i could be mistaken and feel free to correct me :')

Now that i think about it, if it is true, it does make perfect sense this was taken as sexual. I remember reading from a few sourses that states, when rabbis wanted to express someone was hot, they'd say something along the lines of "he kinda looked like the patriarch yaakov", which i think happened with either rabbi yochanan or rabbi ishmael, both canonically hot, rabbi yochanan even emphasized as looking androgynous. When you put a hot guy in a steamy wrestling match it will be hard for the mind not to drift to some places.

That makes me wonder if yaakov was somewhat of a sex icon too, in addition to all the authority he represents. I mean, he did have a whole litter. avraham and itzhak could never.

And if we factor in yaakov potentially looking androgynous (and that he emerged as a cripple) he definitely bottomed too (⁠.⁠ ⁠❛⁠ ⁠ᴗ⁠ ⁠❛⁠.⁠)

Oh yeah the story of ya’akov wresting the angel is suuuuuper homoerotic! One of the best books about queerness in Judaism is even called “Wrestling with God & Men” which is a reference to that scene. And yup ya’akov was definitely super hot! I think he actually has a lot to do with how Jewish culture has traditionally conceptualized of male attractiveness, especially in the way he’s contrasted with Esav: pretty but not excessively physical (tho he did move the rock for rachel so he had to be pretty strong), studious, stayed at home rather than being a hunter (more “manly” job in many other cultures). there’s some really interesting writing by Daniel Boyarin about how early z1onism changed the way Jews thought of the ideal man, tho you can still see the older conceptions in contemporary orthodox communities.

I have gone on record in real life arguing that Avraham was hot too. I imagine their whole family probably was, but ya’akov is definitely the most noteworthy (and Yosef ofc)

(also btw I’m pretty sure English isn’t your first language so I’m guessing you didn’t know this, but “cr*pple”/“cr*ppled” is a slur nowadays and better not to use)

Imagine going to a concert of an artist whose songs you imagine as animatics of King Saul or Ze’ev, and sometimes David, and this is the second time you’re going to his concert while bringing a handmade plush of Ze’ev…

Will Wood has been my comfort artist for however long I’ve been writing the Book of Saul and obsessing with David lmao, I can even say that a lot of his songs inspired some ideas in my retelling of King Saul

I really love your summarize of the difference of struggle between Bruce vs Joker and Damian vs Tim, makes me think just how utterly impersonal Bruce treats the Joker when he fights him(other than that time he almost kills him for Jason), despite how badly Bruce hates and wants to kill him; While Damian may fail to keep it that way with Tim.

I also want to provide an alternative, instead of Tim loseing it after he loses everything*, he wipes out the Batfamily himself. This can give some additional challenges for Damian:

We see him grow from a cold blooded murderer to someone who is empathetic, someone that deeply cherishes his family and friends. If somehow Tim is directly responsible for the death of their family, it can threaten to undermine Damian's entire arc.

Not only does Damian have to balance his personal feelings and his duties, he'll also have to struggle to not revert to his old self: untrusting, bitter and spiteful, undoing every progress the Batfam has helped him make.

Basically i want to hammer into Damian's head the idea that there is no way Tim can be redeemed. This can make Damian even more frustrated with his attachments to Tim, developing severe self hatred even, asking himself everyday what he wants more: revenge, uphold his father's legacy, leave this shit hole, or take the coward's way out. Then he won't have to bear existing in the same plane as Tim, and the countless citizens he fails daily because of his reluctance to end Tim.

*I have mixed feelings about Tim getting corrupted only through losing everything he holds dear. But thats long and not content for this blog anymore so its going to
