Why does it seem like, all my professors want us to do in class now is draw pictures?
I’m in complete agreement with you. If only I could get the professor to understand, that “Art Appreciation” because I was forced into it, doesn’t mean that he should be able to understand my sketches of an embryo. You’d be amazed at how difficult it is to draw something that is basically just a circle.
Did you? It’s a great University… I’m enjoying it, for the most part. Do you? I’ve met Ellie a few times, she’s wonderful. Please tell her I say hello, when you see her again. You work in her office, or…?
Seriously, just go to the Dean and let him know about the problem. If he's the same one I had, he'd have no problem in fixing something like that up for you. I'm sure the standard of a student's artwork would be overshadowed by how poorly a professor is teaching. And if he isn't the same one, well, I wouldn't know what to say to you.

Audrey held her hands up and swished them about in that ‘forget about it'-sorta-way. “Ah. It'll be all over the tabloids by tomorrow morning so if you were really all that curious you could just wait til then.” She teasingly stated, though she wasn't wrong. Came with the territory of her given occupation and position.
Her golden irises caught yet another glimpse of Lucas putting on his usual charm…a little bit too much of his charm for her liking. Audrey took in a deepened breath, keeping her cool, she brushed her lips together returning her stare upon her friend.
“Would ya like a drink? I could sure use one.” She instigated, raising her brows in a hopeful sense. So strange, how she could feel as if she were the most beautiful girl in the room with the dress she’d chosen for that night, and yet, just like that, feel as if she wasn’t good enough, but she would not dare show it. She would uphold her usual, cool, calm and collected, classy self and she would go about it in a noble stride…but of course, alcohol helped to round the edge.
Tabloids, yes. But there was something that'd be a little more interesting than the written gossiping jargon. The office. "Just you wait until we get to work on Monday." It wouldn't be up in arms and full of furor, but more than enough comments would be passed to make the woman in front of her either blush, or scream, depending on the nature of them. "Oh, Audrey... I sure hope you're ready to face the onslaught." To say she didn't care at all for a little office banter would be a lie, but she wasn't exactly awaiting for the outcome with bated breath.
"—Go on then, I can't resist. Maybe a flute of champagne will aid me in scowling a little less at those drunkards. I've been playing the Mother Teresa role this evening, you see." Shivani giggled, it ceasing away slowly as she gestured a waiter over and picked two glasses from his tray, handing one to Audrey.
With one hand closed around her clutch and the other supporting her drink, she took a sip. Freeing the glass from her lips, she cleared her throat, her eyes darting to the scenery in front of them yet again. "You know... As sappy as this sounds, I don't quite think I have seen a more beautifully decked event as this." That wasn't a lie for she could appreciate good work where she saw it, without a pang of jealously. Purely because she was confident and comfortable about her position and didn't need to constantly belittle someone's effort to make herself feel better.

No it does, I could imagine that honest wants nothing more then this thing to go off with out a hitch.

Some people don’t get the chance to brush off their daily live shackles. I like to think of this as a time for people to indulge for one night. After all, they’ll feel their regret in the morning in the form of hangovers. Do you now? It’s hard to tell when you’ve got a kind of strict vibe going on, but hey to each her own. Them? You make these normal Launceston citizens sound like lepers.
I would be enjoying myself more, but I came only to congratulate the new owner. I’m not in a partying mood at the moment.
Well, when you put it that way... I guess there's that, if anything. A strict vibe? Ouch, I'll have to admit that I'm a little offended. I'd like to think I am behaving appropriately for the occasion. Lepers? Not all of them, but some, yes.
I hope it's nothing serious that has brought you down. But, whatever it is, it'll pass.
