Thinking again about the intimacy of coming across someone who's fallen asleep while unwell. Carefully arranging a blanket, or a coat, or whatever may be on hand over them to make their sleep a bit more restful until they wake
been thinking about...
Robot who sneezes so much that it overwhelms/overheats their processing system or sensors to the point of crashing...they reboot, only to resume sneezing, and the cycle starts all over again
robot who's sneezes sound glitchy/clipped/ staticky (bonus: if they have a screen/facial display, that glitches out as well)
robot getting "sick" and displaying symptoms because they got infected with malware or a computer virus. (Bonus if "I didn't know you could get sick" human caretaker is paired with "I...didn't know either" robot.)
robot sneezing because their fans haven't been cleaned in a while and are coated in dust or cobwebs

blissful sniffly autumn charms
● when someone wraps you in their warm embrace when they see you shivering and sniffling ● your partner offering a tissue after watching your helplessly twitching pink nose run from the crisp breeze ● your partner taking off one of their gloves to give to you to wear and using their ungloved hand to hold yours to keep it warm since they've seen you basically sneezing at the air ● watching your partner's cheeks flush, their nose redden, and their ears grow pink as they wrap their arms tightly around themselves - their nose is quivering and streaming and every now and again their face flushes hotter as they try to discreetly wipe their nose on their sweater sleeve ● rubbing your poor partner's back as they double over in an excruciatingly tickly allergic fit due to all of the ragweed blooming ● watching your partner try and fail to fight their sneezes while they busily rake the yard - the mold and dust from the damp, decaying leaves really sets them off and their nose is burning pink against the gray of the autumn sky
breath play in the form of making out with someone with a stuffy nose until they have to break the kiss to breathe
i love it when people describe their allergies (or just sneezing in general) as being 'set off'.
"that's going to set me off" - someone knowing that something will not only make them sneeze, but sneeze multiple times.
"something's setting me off" - someone knowing there's something in the air that's already making them sneeze again and again.
"you'll set me off" - someone knowing that something the other person does or is about to do will make them start to sneeze, repeatedly.
any kind of repeated sneezing being described as being 'set off' is just 🫦
I find fall allergies so charming. The weather is finally getting nice, spooky season is nigh, and people are allergic again?? And that’s before getting into the impeccable vibes of outdoor festivals and apple picking and piles of colorful leaves that exist even before you add allergies into the mix. We are blessed.
when someone has a naturally expressive, vocal element to their sneeze, but it’s usually just one or two at a time and everyone assumes that’s just what it always sounds like. eventually, though, they’re observed with a cold or on a bad allergy day and those around them discover that after the first few times, it ends up sounding so much more tired and exasperated and wet, occasionally without any voice at all, like their energy to subconsciously react to the sneeze has dwindled significantly.
hot how people can be allergic to several things but some of them can be way more mild/severe than the others. i can’t decide if it’s hotter when they can identify it or when they can’t
The allergy sufferer who concedes to their partner getting a cat as long as it doesn't come in the bedroom, but it's proving impossible to keep out.
In the morning a faint tickle is the first thing they feel, like someone lightly dragged a feather across their face.
At first they stir just enough to rub their nose, dozing between sleepy sniffles that get keep getting wetter and more irritated, becoming impossible to ignore. They know the damn cat's on the bed again before they even open their eyes.
Hours of unknowingly breathing in dander mean eyes already streaming allergic tears on opening and pink nostrils that are so oversensitive rubbing is impossible.
Even crinkling their nose to relieve the itch triggers a fit of hitchy, uneven breaths that's unbearably close to a sneeze, but not quite there.
The sufferer gives in to temptation and furiously scrubs their nose and eyes with both hands. It's going to make it worse, it always does, but they can't stand the itching one more second.
Just a few seconds of relief.
Big mistake.
someone with a cat allergy being completely clamoured on by said animal. it makes them chuckle at first, and they’re not quite sure where to put their hands because they know they shouldn’t be touching it, but regardless it only takes a few minutes for their nose to start itching.
they scrunch it up and huff a little, a sharp exhale to try and nip the tickle in the bud, but with the cat in such close proximity to their face any attempt at this point they know will be futile.
sighing in defeat, they scoop the animal up by the armpits and extend it out to its owner.
“heyheyhey can you p-hhuuh-leeease take the cat becauseIhaveto—!”
they aren’t able to finish their sentence and instead suck in a sharp breath. With the cat still in their hands they have nothing to cover with, and there’s a split moment of panic that flashes across their face as they try to figure out what they’re going to do.
Thinking fast, they turn their head to the side and pitch into their shoulder. It’s a desperate attempt to try and stifle a series of itchy sneezes by completely crushing their nose until the cats owner finally pulls the animal from their hands.
Without thinking twice their now free hands snap up to their face to cup a final sneeze. They sigh in relief as the small fit ends, but their mistake is realized just a moment too late as the cat dander on their fingers starts to make their nose tingle all over again.
classic trope of a character whos really suave and hooks up a lot, only this time theyre super allergic to cats but they don’t let that stop them. and its a recurring theme that every once in a while (few times a season maybe) they spend the episode sniffling because they spent the night with somebody who kept pets
two girls who live together. in true wlw fashion they don’t really know if they’re dating or not but there’s definitely a lot of flirting and sexual tension between them.
one of them (A) rescues a kitten she found abandoned somewhere whilst walking home in the pouring rain and her roommate B is allergic but ultimately gives in because she’s weak for A.
but get this: A has the kink, and B has figured it out somehow. she’s suffering, but she thinks that maybe this is the perfect opportunity to understand A’s preferences better (and maybe tease her a little in the process 👀👀)
saw someone sneak their dog onto the bus a couple days ago and yeah, definitely been thinking since about someone with a dog/cat allergy reacting to a hidden pet like that and their brain just being "???!???!??" between increasingly itchy sneezes, because they can't find the source of their problem but there's only one thing they're so allergic to and it really shouldn't even be an issue in that moment
OR, alternatively, the allergic person notices the animal and knows they're about to have a Reaction, but it's such a cute surprise that they 1) don't move so far away as to not be able to see it, and 2) try to keep their reaction on the down low through stifling and holding back so as not to draw attention and risk having it kicked off the bus
someone spending the night unexpectedly, so their host has to scramble and find them a place to sleep. There’s a couch.. but it’s the cat’s favorite couch.. and the unexpected guest is shockingly allergic
My hand in marriage for a fic in which everyone is adoring a kitten, or a grown, beautiful and very bitchy cat, except one person who is sneezing, sniffling and blowing and rubbing their runny, allergic nose, and being incredibly cross about it all.
The cat worshippers will coo the unfortunate sneezy person and express sympathy, but it's like a motion that needs to be gone through, there's zero feeling in it because everyone's too busy adoring thr cat.
Bless you again, poor thing you're sneezing so much, OH MY god look at the fluffy belly, I wonder if I get murdered if I touch it??
I raise you:
The allergy sufferer complaining profusely about their awful allergies and how badly it itches and the unfairness of it all, while resolutely refusing to stop petting the cat.
