One thing Izaya didn't expect was to dream.

He was somewhere he didn't recognise, a quiet little street with a railroad bell dinging nearby. Someone was beside him walking together with him, though he wasn't sure who right away. He didn't know the street, but one building in particular seemed to radiate comfort and warmth.

He knew this wasn't his own memories, this was Shizuo's. He was witnessing Shizuo's dreams as if watching a movie.

Chapter 4 of body swap au

"Like I said before, you're lonely. Why else would you mess with people's lives so much? You're bored, and want to cause chaos, and no other human gives a shit about you so you want to be the villain in their story so they pay attention to you. You're just a lonely little man-"

"Shut it," Izaya cuts him off, slamming his palms on his table, glaring up at him with dangerous eyes. "You need to shut up before I cut out that pretty tongue of yours, even if it's my own. Ah, you know," he stands up again, "perhaps I could just cut up your body while I'm inside it." He moves to grab the knife he had hidden in the drawer of his desk, flicking it open and pointing it towards Shizuo in a smooth motion. "I know your skin is like a god damned rhino, but maybe I could carve my initials in your chest, or chop off a finger or two."

Shizaya Week 2023

Day 8 Free Day Part 7/8

Shizaya: "The last place we have is the yard. Where I play soccer and just have fun. The flea wouldn't want anyone to REALLY know but he loves fall and the leaves. Watching him have fun... I not so secretly love it."

Izaya: "Don't tell people about my love for leaves!"

Izaya: "Nothing is better than my humans but I have to say plants are pretty great. I love to water them. Shizu-chan and I spent a lot of time to plant them all."

Shizuo: "Hey, you remember that time you sprayed me with the hose?"

Izaya: "I refuse to turn around."

Izaya: "You know, I don't think we have ever using this fire pit."

Shizuo: "Naw, looks good though. We spend a lot of time on this yard for looks. I rake, you throw leaves and I rake some more."

Shizuo: "I love coming out here to do some reading."

Izaya: "Are you still reading that childrens book?!"

Shizuo: "You know, as much as the flea annoys me. His knowledge never ceases to amaze."

Izaya: "And that is the little dipper! Hey what are you looking at?"

Shizuo: "Something prettier than the stars."

Izaya: "...."

The grass is made from sticky moss sheets that I stuck to some foam board. The sky and stars are scrapbook paper. The stars are on foam board so I can switch day to night. I don't use night very often though.

One of the leaves in the yard is a real one I found outside. I felt it needed to be here. It's so cute.

Well the inside of the home tour is done. Hopefully you all had a blast! Next I want to show the outside and a few things for extra for part 8

Shizaya Week 2022

Day 8 Free Day Part 6/8

Izaya: "Shizu-chan wants to show off his bar. I want to show off my painting skills though. Get ready for the lil bush!"

Shizuo: "Ok flea, you've had your fun. Now it's my turn. Welcome to my sanctuary."

Izaya: "I thought that was the kitchen."

Shizuo: "Would you shut it. This is my thing!"

Izaya: "He sounds mad but really he has a hard time being in a bad mood here. It's amazing really. I mean he can even pour a proper drink when I'm teasing."

Shizuo: "Yeah, I guess this is a safe space for me. Haha, I mean I come up here to unwind most of the time. Manly from your antics."

Izaya: "Even I have to admit you're a pretty damn good bartender. "

Shizuo: "Oi! What are you doing!? Get off!"

Izaya: "Oh just serving up what the people really want. A tall glass of me."

Shizuo: "Damn it stop taking over my thing! Ow, stop! You pest! Gotcha!"

Izaya: "Who got who?"

Shizuo: "Damn."

Izaya: "Ope! Sorry kids, you shouldn't see this."

Shizuo: "Hahahaha! You're such a flea. Light weight."

Izaya: "Ugh stop yelling. You're so cute when you're mad... Carry me to bed."

So the bar is legit my favorite room in the house I think. The yard might be too? At least the most proud. The front flooring is scrapbook paper. I hand drew the lines on it to make it look like flooring.

All the street signs on the walls are from a scrap book puffy sticker set.

The shelving behind the bar is hand painted. The mirror effect is actually made from silver paper plates that I cut to fit.

The light above the bar does turn on. I was worried the battery wouldn't work but it did. YAY! No idea what it says though. Think I got it on Etsy maybe.

I worked REALLY hard making Shizuo the bar of his dreams. Our angry bartender deserves it. It's an HC of mine that he really loves to unwind by creating drinks.

It's also an HC of mine that Izaya loves to paint. I mean those nimble fingers!!

I really want to buy a pool table to put in. I wanted the front to be a rec room but that vision is still just a vision.

Day 8 Free Day Part 5/8

Izaya: "Weeeeeee!"

Shizuo: "I thought you wanted to show off your office."

Izaya: "Of course I do! Wahooooo! Starting with my chair and desk. This is where I do all my work and where the money comes from."

Izaya: " I have this cool sarcophagus with a mummy inside. It was very expensive. Most things in here are, not that I'm bragging."

Izaya: "I have quite the book collection. I also always have a game playing in front of Shizuo. Don't ask how it works. That's just for me to know. Wait where did Shizu-chan go?"

Izaya: "What are you doing?"

Shizuo: "Playing with my train set..."

Izaya: "But I'm showing off my office."

Shizuo: "Yeah but I got bored. I also don't care. You tend to get a bit obnoxious."

Izaya: "I do not. I just want to show off my wealth....and spin."

I don't know if you can see it but there is a children's book on Izaya's shelf back in there. It brings me great joy to think of Shizuo reading it.

The globe there is actually a pencil sharpener! I found it on Amazon. Izaya needs to have a big obnoxious fancy globe right?

It's also nice to know that Izaya's office has a door leading right to their upper balcony. Shizuo often smokes there while Izaya is working.

Day 8 Free Day Part 4/8

Izaya: "So this is our bedroom. Of course we have to start with the most important piece. My whale! Oh isn't it so cute. I just love it so much. Sure, it takes up the bed but it-"

Shizuo: "Would you stop. No one cares about your damn whale."

Izaya: Don't act like that. You're just mad because no one talks about your shark."

Shizuo: "... Yes they do..."

Izaya: "This is our world map here. We like to make fun plans! Of course on my expense."

Shizuo: "Ok so let's show our mirror where we get ready."

Izaya: "Shizu-chan. Stooooop. We have company!"

Shizuo: "Ugh, fine. Come to bed when you are done."

Izaya: "This is our dresser. We...uh... Damn it Shizuo stop looking at me like that!"

Shizuo: "You know you want to."

Izaya: "OH MY GAWD FINE!"

Izaya: "You are so needy sometimes. What am I to do with you? Didn't even get to show off my fancy lamp."

Shizuo: "I can think of a of a few things."

Izaya: "You are such a brute."

Here the carpet is made of a bunch of (you guessed it) carpet samples! It's real carpet!!

The wall paper is artisan paper I got at a hobby store. It's so pretty and shiny. Deff a bed room wall for them.

The map is from a scrap book sticker set. I love that section in the store. You never know what you will find!
