Touko’s not exactly sure of when the smile that she now wore creep up onto her face, but she knows why it’s there. Nimbasa City holds many memories for her, both good and bad, though mostly good.
It’s definitely one of her favorite places to be in, even if it’s been two years since she’s been back in Unova. Plus it’s not like she would forget those memories, especially considering what they meant to her.
Elesa’s quiet moment was disturbed, although not in the manner she was used to. Whoever was speaking to her did so calmly, a gesture that the tired woman deeply appreciated.
Elesa finally looked up form her drink, a slight bit of surprise sparking into her eyes. Touko...? Elesa smiled, and made a motion towards the seat in front of her. “But of course! How interesting that we’d run into each other like this.“
She took a sip of her tea. “So tell me, what brings the one and only champion of Unova to Nimbasa? With all the attention you get, I don’t understand why you’d want to come here!“
Elesa was happy to see her. It had been a long time, you know? She didn’t think someone who had become the champion, drawing so many eyes her way, would want to come to a big city like Nimbasa. It made Elesa think about how she....sometimes greatly disliked being who she was, at least when she wanted to be left alone. It was hard to get people to leave you alone without the paper turning it into some load on nonsense.
Flowering Cabbage: Name one thing you keep, despite it being pointless or purposeless other than sentimental value or you simply cannot throw it away, and state the reason why you hang onto it.
Elesa gets a lots of gifts from fans. Like, a lot. More often than not, she can’t use any of the things that she is given, and her attempts to get fans to donate instead hasn’t really been working out, so usually, Elesa will donate some of the items. But there are some things, like handmade scarves, pottery, and things like that that she wouldn’t feel right is she threw them away, and so she keeps them, but she doesn’t really have a use for them. They mostly become decorations or dust collectors.

Garden Impatiens: What causes you to lose patience? How do you react when you lose it?
As a doctor, Elesa will not tolerate people, or pokemon, who harm other people or pokemon. Something so barbaric is unforgivable, and certainly not allowable. Elesa is not above giving someone a quick kick to the face is she catches them doing something harmful. Elesa will stop at nothing to make sure that no one gets away with doing that kind of shit. Absolutely not.
He was going to be late. That was the word ringing in his ears as Grimsley hustled through downtown Nimbasa, trying to keep an air of elegance as he dodged around pedestrians and literally hurtled over the front of a cab at a crosswalk. Late. Grimsley detested lateness; it was so easy to be on-time, so easy to be early, even, that lateness to him was quite the sin. Grimsley was never late to anything, and so when the subway had been delayed and he’d stepped into town a full fifteen minutes later than he had intended, he hadn’t eve paused to think, just sprinted down city streets in a whirlwind of hurry.
Elesa was trying to be as slow as possible with the preparation for her gym battle. Grimsley wasn’t here yet, and she knew it wasn’t like him to be late. Her opponent was waiting patiently, although Elesa didn’t tell him what was taking so long. She didn’t want the fact that a member of the Elite Four was coming to watch his battle to freak him out.
“Sorry, kid, it should be too much longer, alright?“ Elesa said to him, smiling.
The judge, in her spot, called out to Elesa and the challenger. “Get your pokemon ready. This’ll be a two vs. two battle!”
Elesa walked at a brisk pace to her side of the floor, and the boy to his. Just as they got into position, Elesa saw Grimsley burst through the door. Perfect, she thought, giving him a bright smile, returning his thumbs up.
“Are you ready?! I’ll show my pokemon first! Let’s go, Irvin!“ Elesa called, throwing her pokeball into the air, a Jolteon appearing from it. It gave an excited cry, and Elesa smirked.
She could tell that this boy wasn’t a very experienced trainer. And so she wanted to go a little easy on him; she didn’t like to humiliate her challengers. The kid threw his pokeball, and from it a Herdier emerged. When the dog howled, the stage came to life. Lights were shining, and the screen to their sided was sparkling. Elesa seemed to brighten as well. “Irvin! Toxic!“ She called, and he pokemon shot a steaming ball of poison at Herdier.
Unfortunately for Herdier, it’s trainer wasn’t quick enough to react, and a few tackles later, Herdier fell due to the poison. A sad performance, to say the least. He sent out his next pokemon, this time, a Pansear. That was more interesting. Elesa waited for him to make the first move.
“Pansear...use ember!“ He called, and the little flame shot towards Jolteon. He was much too fast for the attack though, and was easily able to dart out of the way without and direction from Elesa, but she still didn’t make a move. He tried to have Pansear scratch Jolteon, but it barely made Jolteon flinch, and he was easily able to tackle the Pansear away.
“Alright, Irvin. Let’s finish this one off! Dazzle me! Charge beam!!“ Elesa shouted, her voice booming, the lights becoming blinding as Jolteon shot a veam of electricity from his mouth with a big crack. Pansear was shot into the back wall. That was maybe a little over board, but well, you had to have fun. It was a quick defeat at least. Elesa walked over to the boy, who looked visibly upset. She put a hand on his shoulder.
“Don’t feel too bad, okay? Better luck next time! Train your pokemon to be fast, and maybe think about catching a Sandile, yeah? Get to training! I want to see you back here!“ Elesa exclaimed, and slapped the kid on the back. He smiled a little.
“Yes, Miss Elesa! Thank you! I’ll be back!!“ And he ran for the door, taking no notice of Grimsley sitting in the audience. Good, Elesa thought. Behind him, the crowd started to shuffle around, everyone trying to find their way out. Elesa’s battles and shows always got a large crowd. She waiting up on the stage for Grimsley -- and just like that, there he was! She beamed at him.
“That was amazing! Yet another successful event—you really have a knack for it, don’t you?”
Elesa giggled. “Oh, why, thank you, Grims! I do try to my best, you know! There’s only one Elesa in Unova, so I have to dazzle my audience! Can’t leave everyone wanting more, y’know?“ She winked. “So! What made you want to come down to Nimbasa for a visit? It’s been a while!“

Get to it Mia! Best of luck! Remember that 6 weeks is the max hiatus and cannot be extended. Hopefully it’ll be enough and you can return back by 5/1.
as an add on to this for myself and for my thread partners, i will still probably be around to thread and reply! just i may end up being kind of slow, which is why im going for the long hiatus. so keep it coming y’all, ill be here just drowning in homework oops.
for the mods, 5/1 is the week before finals for me, but most likely ill be able to get at least one post up for each girl that week, and that will be able to carry me through until finals are over, so i should be a-ok! here’s to hoping everything goes as planned rofl.
