I've had a lot of good times here and met a lot of wonderful people. Some who have come and gone, others who have stayed. The past two years on this blog have been sometimes great, sometimes not so great. But I've gained a lot, and I think it's time to take what I've gained with me, and start anew.Ā I'm not saying goodbye, for those who didn't catch my earlier posts. I'm just moving/rebooting. A lot of people enjoy the feeling of looking at a brand new blog, and it can often be regenerating for a muse. On top of that, you can have an easier time following whom you please. You could make a new blog but keep everything as is with Quistis (think of it as spring cleaning - you're clearing the dust and clutter of things that are irrelevant and not needed by moving to a new blog). Or, there's the option of a complete reboot. It's all up to you. There will be people there for you regardless.
Blue Magic;I'm conflicted though. I like some of the relationships I've built with her, but a lot of it is getting stale. Some of it, I was pressured into and I'm kind of feeling the aftermath of that. My Quistis is veering away from what I want her to be. So, I want to reboot, but then I'll be losing all of that time I spent building up to whatever I have now. I mean, I'll be happier, but then I'd be disappointing my partners. Then, there are relationships that really mean a lot to me between muses and I don't want to lose those.I just don't know which to choose.

There was a sort of easy feeling settling into her bones after that mail route. Jobs around town never seemed to complicated. Well, that was likely because she left the more difficult ones for the boys. Bees? No thanks. She made sure to be quick on the draw when they proposed to make some extra munny together.Ā The mail route was nice. She could take her time, chat up the recipients of the envelopes, and sometimes get tips for keeping people company. Besides the struggle tournaments, the town could get a bit quiet. Olette knew the older people were tickled to have someone young offer an ear every now and then.To be honest, she enjoyed their stories. Maybe she just liked the way their eyes lit up when she asked about them. It made her wonder if she'd have worthwhile stories to tell when she got older.Ā She couldn't help laughing to herself at the thought of some young girl like her coming up to ask her about her day. Part of her hoped she wouldn't get so lonely. A lot of the people she talked to liked to go on for such a long time. It was hard to break away from them, but it wasn't as if she didn't have the time to commit; she just didn't always have the stamina.Today, though, she did have a deadline. The gang had promised to meet up and discuss the summer project. She suggested they try to get it done early this time so they wouldn't have to stress about it at the end of the break. She knew how that would turn out, but she had hope that maybe this year would be the year they did it.Remembering the deadline, Olette gasped and searched around for a clock. She rounded a corner where she could see the face of the tower and bit her lip in response to the time.Ā "Oh! I'm late!" And it was my turn to get the ice cream! Maybe if I buy extra, they won't make a big deal out of it.She turned on her heels and made her way down to the shop, quickly fishing the munny pouch from her pockets.I guess I have my lazy moments, too.

Blue Magic; I don't know what it is, but I just feel...like I'm losing her. The motivation to write for this muse is dwindling. I feel so much pressure to keep up with people and I just can't. I considered a reboot, but people told me not to. I'm just struggling so much to put things out. There's like one or two people I can always thread with, some that I'm iffy with, and most others don't seem to care to RP with me at all. Maybe I just need a hiatus? I mean, I'm always going to have Quistis. She's a part of me. I just can't see myself being particularly active in the future.
In January of this year, my fiancĆ©e of 6 years was told that he was suffering from heart failure. He was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy, which is a fancy way of saying he has an enlarged heart that pumps at 10% the rate of a normal healthy heart. We were told he has the heart of an 80-90 year old man.Ā Josh is only 24. And I very nearly lost him. After living in the hospital for about a week predominantly in the ICU, we were told that as long as he kept his sodium levels down and took medications, there could be an improvement. However, since then, there has been next to no improvement and the medical bills continue to pile up weekly. He has to balance between two different cardiologists in two different areas and get constant testing done (i.e. bloodwork, stress tests), pay monthly for various medications and now weāre working on finding out when he can have a chest MRI scheduled, which should be able to tell us if his heart condition can be reversed through medications and other treatment. Otherwise, he may need an ICD (an implantable cardioverter defibulator) or worse, a heart transplant.Ā The problem is that even with months of contact and payment planning, his medical bills keep piling up. Thereās no feasible way for him to get health insurance anytime soon, and even with the help of Charity Care services, he still owes $15,000 in medical bills as of right now. Whatās worse is that the MRI he needs is a $10,000 or more test. The ICD would be around $40,000.Ā My current full-time job ends at the end of June. Neither of us have had any luck so far in the job market despite our determined efforts, and our apartment lease runs out in 2 months. He and I have had to make some very hard decisions ā one being to move back to where our friends and family live, since we are very isolated where we currently reside. He would also be closer to the hospital where his MRI and other tests and/or operations would be done, which would be great if anything should go wrong or if his health takes another nosedive.Ā Unfortunately, if we move, he will have to quit his current job.
We donāt have the money to move, but we also donāt have the money to stay where we are, and the stress is overwhelming us, which is terrible for his heart. Weāve had to postpone wedding plans because of these sudden changes, with any money we could have put towards one going into his bills. Heās even considered postponing the MRI or any other major operation like the ICD because we canāt afford it, especially if we have to move. I donāt want him delaying any important medical attention that could save his life because we donāt have the money.Ā I donāt want to lose him. He is my life.Ā
So please, if you can donate even $5, it would be very helpful. Any money can help cover his medical bills or moving expenses and/or living expenses while we continue the job search. Both of us are in desperate need of stability. Any help would get us there.

i want to write the on-again-off-again relationships. i want the screaming matches and the cancelled dates and the hurt feelings and the second guesses and second chances.Ā
i want to write people who completely shake up each otherās daily routine and flip their entire world on its axis. i want them to drive each other crazy and question why they bother sticking around and then remember the way their partner laughs or see them in a moment of vulnerability that tells them 'this is is why i stay. this is why i love you.'Ā
i want to write relationships with struggles. with class differences and financial divide. two people who are so completely different they somehow complete each other. i want the jealousy and the feelings of inadequacy that goes with it.Ā
i want to write people who arenāt afraid to be honest with their partner. who arenāt afraid to say 'yeah you're being an asshole' followed by 'but i still love you, you idiot.'
i want the first time they see their partner cry and the morning after their first intimate night when everything feels so right.
i want people who get so used to one another that they stop going the extra mile. i want the āyou donāt make the effort because you already have meā argument.
i want relationships that challenge each other to be better people and make each other question their beliefs and moral compass.Ā
but most of all, i want to write relationships that are real. that make you feel something. i want to go on the emotional rollercoaster right along with them.
