At the end of the day I do genuinely understand feeling conflicted over the label and your identity. For a while there I was debating hard over my gender identity AND my sexuality, which due to the nature of lesbianism it has a very hard line I was scared to cross into being a trans man because I was so afraid of losing the ability to be a lesbian. Like, again, I totally get being afraid of losing that community. I eventually figured out my sexuality (I definitely do not like men) and my genders still pretty much up in the air but I'm pretty solidly transmasc, but at the end of the day even when I was considering being a trans man I knew I wouldn't be a lesbian anymore because I would be a man and conflating the two identities is ultimately just dangerous to other lesbians. Idk if it's just a thing of my location impacting my perception of these things (i come from a very red area where im still not out to my family due to the danger it presents) but either way my identity puts me in danger and I'd rather not put others in danger with my indentity, if that makes sense. I still want to be an ally and part of that is recognizing where i may be causing harm. Ofc I'm more secure now in what I identify as and I'm a proud member of the lesbian community, but I think more people need to understand what it means to be an ally to that. That, and idfk stop sticking around in tme circle jerks

Maybe? good faith are still entirely missing the point of the issue, and dare I say purposefully ignoring it too to seem more open minded about this matter when to be completely honest including transmen in the lesbian label is harmful and reductive
