The next morning you woke up wrapped in sunghoon's arms, he looked so peaceful, you tried to slip out of the bed, trying not to wake him up. You felt the arm around your waist tighten, âwhere do you think you are going?â he asked you, his voice was raspy. âI'm going to make breakfastâ, you said, turning to him, his eyes opened slightly only for him to close them again, ânoâ he said, pushing you closer to him, âlet's stay like this for a minuteâ. his face rested on the crook of your neck. you chuckled and stroked his silky hair.
âbut im hungryâ you complained playfully. âFineâ he said, finally waking up, he opened his eyes and met yours, a smile appeared on his face, âI could wake up like this everyday for the rest of my lifeâ, his hand caressed your cheek and then he pecked your lips softly. âI'm going to make us breakfast,â you said as you let go of him.
Did he really mean what he had just said? Of course you wouldn't mind at all, this was what you had wished for since you were 7, for sunghoon to look at you not just like a friend, you wanted to be more than his friend. Memories started appearing in your mind as you made some coffee.
âWhy are you crying?â you heard a curious voice ask you. You lifted your head that was currently between your knees. Your eyes met his âwhy are you crying?â he asked again.
âWho are you?â you questioned back, âi asked you something firstâ he replied. You sniffed and wiped your tears with the sleeve of your sweater. âi don't want to be here, i want to go homeâ
His eyes were filled with curiosity, what did the girl who was crying in the neighborhood park meant by going home? This was his home, why couldn't it be yours too? He seated next to you, âbut here is nice â, he said trying to cheer you up, âi'll make you feel like home hereâ he said proudly, this was his new mission.
âHow will you do that?â you said between sniffs, âi don't even know who you areâ. He extended his hand, âim park sunghoonâ, you took his hand and responded, âim y/nâ
âI think that is doneâ, you heard sunghoonâs sleepy voice come from behind you, snapping you out of your thoughts, you had been holding the coffee pot for a while now, âyou okay?â he asked, a little concern could be heard in his voice. âyesâ you said with a smile on your face.
âabout what?â He took two mugs out and poured the coffee, âyouâ you said, this took him by surprise, a smirk appeared on his face. âoh really?â he said in a teasing tone as he took a seat, âtell me moreâ he took a sip of his mug, never breaking eye contact with you.
âi was thinking about the time we metâ, you sat next to him, handing him a plate of the cake you had given him just yesterday. âyou mean the day i found you crying in the park?â he asked mockingly, âyou know, approaching you was not easyâ
âwhy not?â you were genuinely curious, âbecause i was, am kind of shy, don't know if you had noticedâ you chuckled and hit his shoulder lightly, âbut you looked sad, i still remember your big puffy eyes, you said you missed your homeâ
âI still do,â you said looking down, âbut somethings cannot be changedâ, he knew what you meant, but decided to say nothing, he just hugged you, tears started forming in your eyes, every time you talked about your mother you got very emotional, you just couldn't help it.
ây/nâ he said softly, placing both of his hands on your shoulders âlook at meâ. You met his eyes, âi will always be here for you, i won't let you push me away againâ
âI promise to never leave your side again, everâ, he hugged you again, he kissed your head, and stroked your hair in a comforting way. But even having what you always had wished for, you felt guilty, because you weren't being totally honest with him. Even if he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you, you weren't sure if you wanted the same.
