Battlefront II

You're on your last bit of health, and both team's reinforcements are reduced to 1. The fight could go to anyone at that point. There aren't Ammo Droids nearby and both your heal-ammo pack and your shotgun are nearly depleted. The timer counts 1 minute. You rush forward. Blasters fire, you try to dodge, but one hits you and you're barely alive. You shoot blindly with the kn owledge you're not going to hit. . . or so you thought.

Brass plays and the word in a bright blue "Victory" appears.

The penegrappel (Penegrapple is correct but it’s a little too professional for a rapeship) is quite good at latching on to anything. Depending on the mission it selects claw size. Smallest size can just latch to things. Middle size is a little more strict on timing but can provide a good blast. The large size requires the mining lasers and railgun to be better, and can down the wing of the most terrifying ship in the galaxy.

Game idea

Just posting a game idea here. The amount of turns until surrender for losing side (if balance of power is equal, offensive) varies depending on the scale. For MP games (and SP on hard difficulty), each player gets 1 move per turn, and it alternates. You can move or fire. Moving only happens on an axle. Firing depends on range, and success chance is calculated by range unless mentioned otherwise (e.g. lascannons and other sniper weapons which are always 90% success chance). The target unless mentioned otherwise is killed instantly when hit. Heavy Vehicles take 2-3 hits.

Plotline

America struggles through World War 3 as everyone but their fathers turn on them and everything goes to shit in the west as the Anarchy of New California blocks terrorist attacks from all sides until October 9th 2024 when the second great purge happens. Trump nearly dies as he directs forces to the western states.

Meanwhile in 21740 the Triamiurran Empire breaks off war by bribing the black fleets to join their side, which unfortunately started an intergalactic raiding across 7 starsystems, which must be stopped before their beloved allies get turned to slaves. Junari VII doesn't know how to intercept the mess he just created.
