Found a dogshit color jitter spray brush and thought what if i make it work
Richard the Lion Heart is the Fate character of all time. He single-handedly answers a good chunk of the philosophical questions from Fate/Zero just by being himself. He’s become one of my favorite fellas of all time this dude is like a dopamine hit to the brain receptors.
He’s both unabashedly himself, ashamed of his horrid actions yet somehow proud of feeling shame. He’s proud to be a human that gets what he believes to be the privilege of toeing the line between fiction and reality. Between the fae and the real. In a sense I feel like Fate has been leading up to a character like him and I’m obsessed. I cannot wait to continue his journey.

I highkey cannot wait to yap about this on call so I need to discuss it rn. Richard Lionheart I in the Fate series is the perfect combination of ideas this series has been working with for years. And thematically the combination of Charlemagne and Arthur/Arturia. He’s the perfect thematic blend between them I simply cannot do this anymore I needddddd to talk about this. Every time I say Arthur think Arturia cause this is for both of them but I am King Arthur the actual book pilled so I am always slinging around that he/him. Arthur’s entire deal is being the epitome or morality and suffers from not being as such. He is supposed to be the ideal king and feels shame when he cannot save everyone. TLDR he regrets his reign because he doesn’t believe he’s served his countrymen and the glory of his empire adequately. Much like Iskander, Charlemagne creates his own justice and sense of morality under his rule. While Iskander doesn’t care about morality, Charlemagne does. However he decides that what he does is moral. Charlemagne and Arthur adhere to the same sense of justice. The same moral principles of chivalry, knighthood, and a form of Catholicism. The difference is Arthur is shackled by it and Charles twists it to suit his narrative. A king with ego enough to be emboldened by his ideals vs. the one who loses his identity to uphold them. This is why Charles has like 100x more energy and opinions than Arthur it’s so clear in their difference in energy levels. It’s the ‘I don’t know what I like’ vs the ‘I like anything that’s really cool.’ Richard is their freaking baby dude. Richard acknowledges and feels the weight of his faults and sins. It corrodes him like Arthur but he owns it like Charles. “I am a bad person but I can still be someone I’m proud of.” He’s led a life had had regrets yet loves those regrets. This also ties into his noble phantasms and his link to the mystics. In Fate Arthur sort of has a strained relationship with the round table as a servant, the opposite is true for Charlemagne. Richard has his retainers as one of his noble phantasms, though one of those people was the main who killed him. It’s quite the mix. Charlemagne’s ties to magic are fairly strained due to his historical significance being more relevant to humanity that his mythological one. Arthur’s minus certain things in Fate canon is entirely mythological. King Arthur is shrouded in mystics that the Paladins of Charlemagne merely borrow as I’m like 90% their existence is a response to Arthuriana. Whack me if I’m wrong. But Richard was a real guy and an Arthur fanboy. However he was gone so long from his kingdom that it’s hard to tell the false from the real in the narratives about them. He is mystic by interpretation but factually real. And his design looks like you bashed both Charlemagne’s and Arthur’s together really hard. I'm inclined to think they thought of this but idk. ANYWAY if any of them are free around midnight I'm available for a platonic kiss on the mouth. Richard and I would be besties because I too am a massive fan of King Arthur. GUYS I AM WATCHING THE STRANGE FAKE ANIME SO NO SPOILERS. SORRY I DONT READ ONLINE TRANSLATED NOVELS VERY WELL. If theres an ibooks link slide that shit my way.
Does this make sense gang.
Alright since one of the Hetalia fanarts I posted is blowing up, here's an old sketch.

Your Honor I love them
And you know what? It is fucking nasty to see (largely) European (and Canadian and Australian, as evidenced by user statistics) Tumblr users in the notes of posts made by American Tumblr users talking about the devolving situation here in America and real life issues Americans are facing saying things like “This is an American issue, it has nothing to do with me.” and “I am so sick of seeing posts about American politics, everything is so American-centric.” as though 46% of the website isn’t American and there aren’t real people behind the screen writing about things that are effecting them. I would have more empathy if the complaints were coming from Asian and Latin American Tumblr users expressing disappointment that events in America drown out things they are facing but YOUUUUU ARE FROM THE UK, CANADA, GERMANY, AUSTRALIA, white supremacy based fascism and regressive ideology being on the rise is something YOU should worry about to! And your country is not devoid of systemic racism and colonialist behavior. Many of these things are not actually “stupid American problems”, they are things you should probably think about too.
