Cloak update

I went off of the Silmaril design I saw on the Tolkien gateway, but I used cashmere in gold and silver so that it would seem to glow. I thought I could put a third one on the hood when I got to it? I need to do a banner at the bottom of the tree connecting the Silmarils, then at the top pick a design to cover the meaty part of the shoulder, then do a triangle to connect the top and bottom so it makes a semi-circle. So if anyone has any Noldor/Feanor forward designs for suggestion, love to hear them. It’s a Silmarillion cloak but we all know how big that book would be without the original problem child.

This used to be a wall scroll you could purchase on Amazon, but now that’s no longer available. Would anyone be willing to sell me one, or know if there’s a redbubble or something I could buy it from?

Alright, trapezoids in place. Next, two Silmarils to cover the shoulder meat, then a pattern to match the dragon to fill in the blank squares under the trapezoids and to make the whole thing fit my dimensions. My back needs about 22” from shoulder to shoulder, and all of this is only 16”. So it needs to be broader and longer before I attach the dragon and the star of Feanor. This is single stitch fingering weight for the most part, because if you can’t tell, I hate myself. If anyone out there has design input to offer, please… please do. I can’t throw in a palantir or a Feanorian lamp, because.. crochet, and it would just look like a marble and a lamp. And the size scaling to making Elvish text legible is.. no thanks.

Update on the Lord of the Rings Cloak. 3 elven rings and the two trees.

I.. couldn’t find any official Tolkien art for the two trees, and while there is fan art it seemed impossible to crochet. So I made the trees out of gold and silver cashmere so that they would glow against the other materials.
