already halfway through my #pride series! today’s is of the handmaiden, a south korean period psychological thriller. this movie seems slow and quiet at first but before you know it, it gets absolutely WILD and rips the rug out from under you - complete with a beautiful score, beautiful costumes, beautiful settings, and a beautiful love story!

today’s pride piece is from ek ladki ko dekha toh aisa laga, aka the first mainstream bollywood film to feature a queer protagonist and love story! not to mention it was directed by a woman and written by a trans woman. good news: this heartwarming coming out story is on netflix!‬

this started out just as an experiment in a style without linework but not only do i really like the look of no lines but i kind of fell in love with these two flirts?? 😍😍😍 you can tell i work from right to left with how polished pink lady looks in comparison to suit lady - but i like to think the roughness just enhances suit lady’s obvious street smarts 😏 this doodle might just be getting promoted to work in progress 😎 (thank you to whoever styled keira knightley in ‘colette’ and whoever styled brie larson in her porter magazine shoot and inspiring this in the first place!) 🌸🌺🌼
